The Monsaraz San Diego is praised for its amazing location, beautiful views, and trendy, updated rooms. Newly remodeled, bring your own pillow and TV

Staff was super friendly. Bed was comfortable. Nice lobby furniture.

Classic bad hotel pillows. Comforter on bed was worn out. Stayed on Rosecrans side of hotel and traffic noise made sleep in the morning difficult. Maid woke us at 8:30 first day in. Power outage one night, fire alarm another. TV was flat out bad, super dark picture, everything looked like a soap opera, no onscreen guide, very frustrating (note to self never buy a Samsung TV).

Great staff, location, and clean rooms!

Clean, well-designed room. Great staff! It's in walking distance to several good restaurants and the harbor. I enjoy staying here.

I don't like the barn style doors on the bathrooms, they don't match the rest of the fancy decor to me. Super loud closing if you are not careful.

Location great. Room right on outdoor performance space. Food delicious.

Price was appropriate for location, just more then Im used to paying. On plus, Uber to airport was less then expected. Access to bay was delightful.

Superb

Note: I took a ride out to the Pacific coast. Very nice. Summary: Good place to stay.

Context: Stayed here for 1 night while attending a conference in the city. Hotels in the centre were outrageously expensive; this one was plain ol' horribly expensive so save 100USD by staying here for one night. Positives: Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable and well-appointed room. Very modern Good shower.

Negatives: Not clear where to get breakfast. Room windows didn't open. Didn't check to check in until after midnight because international flight didn't land until 2330 but still wasn't offered a late check-out. This felt unfair and my sleep was too short. Note: Mobile data not working by the time I arrived at the airport so had to take a taxi rather than an uber. Guy managing the queue said it should be 15USD to this hotel; taxi driver said it was 23USD and even then complained strongly that the journey was too short. (Uber to the city the next day - which goes past the airport then further - was about half the price.)

Wonderful boutique (pet friendly) hotel close to many San Diego attractions.

Very nice hotel; the staff was wonderful. I was pleased to learn that the Monsaraz is also a pet-friendly hotel! The music on Friday night was a pleasant surprise, and the performers were very good.

Parking. I felt the price for valet was excessive. The staff did give an alternative to park at a nearby hotel (for almost half the cost), which was nice. The website should state the parking situation more clearly.

the hotel is great and very comfortable, the staff is outstanding and very helpful. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will come back again on out next visit to San Diego. we will also recommend it to our friends.

the conditioner dispenser nozzle in the shower is too small and will not let the thick conditioner flow. the thermostat is not very responsive as it takes a very long time to get a temperature adjustment. Not big issues.

Clean, comfortable accommodations with easy access to local attractions.

The hotel is clean and modern inside. Rooms are nicely decorated in a coastal modern style. Walking distance to the harbor. The outside area for parking or pickup/drop off is not convenient or comfortable. However, a patron is not in that area very long. Parking on premise is valet only and the price is not on the booking app. It is a nice boutique hotel about 15 minutes from the convention center by ride share. Spent about $150 more than booking price for a two night stay, with taxes and parking, which is similar anywhere else downtown.
