An incredible stay and a brilliantly run hotel.

The staff were so attentive I could not fault any of them. The facilities were pristine and our stay was one of the most enjoyable fo the whole trip. The hotel and all of it's services were impecable.

A memorable experience.

There was nothing not to like. Aesthetically the aspect and lay-out of the buildings and the setting of all the pool access studios around their own shared pool in addition to the large communal pool overlooking the beach is superb. Wonderfully efficient, helpful and friendly staff added to the pleasure of our weeks stay. Being able to take a couple of steps to the pool or a couple of steps the other way down into the sea is a bonus and Happy Hour on the pier also a delight.

The best place to be in Thailand. Loved every bit of their hospitality. From food to rooms, from staff to service, amazing amazing amazing. Thank you The Lamai Samui Hotel and Resort for accommodating our last minute booking and for organising everything for us. You guys are so pro-active, caring and helpful, I have been to few other resorts in Thailand but nothing came close to your service. Thank you for making us feel so special

Relaxing and enchanting destination that you wont want to leave.

Excellent location and stunning decor. Staff were very welcoming and took great lengths to make our honeymoon enjoyable.

Food and massage prices were overly expensive for Thailand, nearly 3-5x the charge of restaurants and spas down the street.

A beautiful serene getaway.

Beautiful property, great location, and wonderful helpful and kind staff also the food at the restaurant was SO delicious!! Actually some of the best food we had in Koh Samui. The hotel is situated in Lamai, a great spot to see main attractions in south of KS. Overall we LOVED our room - it was a pool ocean view villa and was simply spectacular! Would highly recommend for a peaceful getaway! Thank you team Lamai, for the lovely time!

The room can be slightly noisy due to the thin walls, but it wasnt a major issue for us

Average stay for the price range

The location is pretty good. You can walk to the Lamai and there are some restaurants/cafes nearby. We had a few meals at the hotels restaurant and the food is quite good, with reasonable prices. Breakfast is OK. Theres no beach during the morning and early afternoon due to the tides but after about 2-3pm, you get a nice, clean beach as well. The staff is really friendly. However we had a small issue with the airport pickup, it was late for about half an hour.

I dont think this hotel is worth the price because of a few reasons that you wouldnt expect in a hotel in this price range. -the bathroom: it looks like a fancy spa but it lacks practicality. The water temp in the shower is not stable, youre under normal water at one second, the next under boiling hot water. The drain in the shower is a bit clogged, the shower area gets filled up with water after 5 mins. There is not enough lighting in the bathroom mirrors, I love dim lighting but there has to be an additional mirror lighting. -the pool: we stayed at a room that directly opens up to a shared pool but during our stay, it didnt seem so clean so we always went to the main pool and couldnt use the one at the room. -sliding doors to the terrace looks really good but the doors are old and with some wind, they make sounds which we woke up to at one night. -the mosquitoes are a problem. The hotel provides free deet but Ive stayed at hotels in Thailand that solves this issue up to a point by regular sterilization. -the slippers in the room are basically plastic flip-flops and I dont think theyre single use.

Never again!

Nice entry, well-maintained garden, friendly staff, pool villa beautiful.

Millions of mosquitos! Killed 23 in the room. As there were many slits in the windows, mosquitos entered although we closed the doors and windows! Towels were dirty. Breakfast buffet was not a 5 star buffet. Maxium 3 stars! Totally over-prized! We were lucky that we only slept 1 night there and could move on to a real 5 star hotel!
