One night in Nuwara eliya

The staff was very kind, the location was good and the room clean. We had dinner and it was delicious.

We had a bad experience with the heather they used and the room was cold. In addition, this was the most expensive night in our Sri Lanka tour and we did not have more services here compared to the other places, moreover the breakfast was not included in the price. So, there are good points but also something to improve.

Awesome!!!

Nice clean comfortable property. The host and the staff very caring and helpful. At last minute without prior notice we asked our host if she could cook dinner for us since we didnt find any vegetarian options at a restaurant we went to dine in. She was very gracious and got her chef to cook a delicious Sri Lankan vegetarian dinner. Awesome stay would highly recommend to anyone.

Spacious, comfortable stay for a few rainy days.

Fabulous old building with huge landings. Staff were great, particularly the man on reception and the breakfast staff. Very comfortable and cosy during the rainy weather we experienced. Had a large Christmas tree in reception with carols playing which added to our Sri Lankan experience.

Convenient location, very good breakfast, clean rooms and hot showers with good water pressure! Decent Wi-Fi. Only 15min walk to the city centre. Very close to the Gregory Lake and Victoria Park.

Chilled Nuwara stay

This was a lovely property within a 10 min walk of town centre. The staff were wonderful, the room was cosy with tons of hot water and good water pressure (you have to wait a few mins for the hot water to come through) and the owners were able to organize pick up and drop off from the nearby train station. Bed was comfortable and there was even a top room to do some yoga if you like. Breakfast was tasty. All in all, the value of this place for what you pay is very good!

Great value for money in Little England

The room was very spacious and we appreciated having a couch and balcony to sit on. The shower was excellent, the best we've experienced during one month of travelling in Sri Lanka. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty and overall Suriya represents fantastic value for money.

The wifi was a bit slow and sometimes dropped out but this was a minor issue.

Great place with lovely staff

Loved our stay here, we booked the superior room and it was worth it, huge room and great bed and bathroom. Food was great also with a good choice. What really made our stay though was Gerad, he is a fantastic asset to the guest house. So friendly, welcoming and helpful and took the time to chat with us, going above and beyond his job to help us. Our train tickets hadnt been delivered and he took it upon himself to fix it for us and we had the tickets delivered by Tuk tuk within an hour of him helping! Amazing service, it's the people that make where you stay exceptional and Gerad certainly made the difference at Suriya Guest from a good experience to a fantastic one.

Good stay

The guesthouse is professionally managed by the caretaker Maxi ( sorry if I spelled the name wrong) . He was highly responsive for all our questions and proactively guided us for all ! Entire staff there were great ! The food especially Rice and curry was good ! We had all our three meals during our one night stay there ! Thank you team for your great hospitality !

It would have been good if a safe locker is in each room to keep our valuables especially passports etc .

The best place we have ever stayed.

Everything. If I could give the place more than 10 stars I would. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The staff went above and beyond to help in any way they could. The breakfast was amazing in both quality and quantity. The food available for lunch/dinner was also really good - especially the pumpkin soup. The Christmas decorations and music add to the already homely feel of the place. Value for money was really good. 100% recommend staying here.

The theme park nearby plays loud music until about 10pm but this wasnt a big issue.
