Lovely rest in a charming Thai themed resort.

Our room with an ocean view was great for our needs: if the weather is not ideal, you can sit on the balcony and see the sea. The staff is friendly and help as much as they can. The spa was fine for a massage. For our short trip (5 days) it was good to be close to the airport. Thai dinner at the restaurant was very good.

The resort leaves a slightly dilapidated feel with nooks and crannies needing to be fixed, robes literally threadbare in places. It was unfortunate that heavy weather had washed away the sliver of beach that is there; we underestimated the fact that walking along the beach is impossible, really. And to replenish the sand there was a bulldozer at work for most of the day and at times in the evening. Not great for a rest. The best at breakfast are the freshly made omletes and fruit. The pool is quite fine; though raucus Aussies at the pool bar impact on a peaceful day in the sun. As an older couple on a holiday it should be noted that this is a popular place for families with young children. Compared to some other resorts in other places, alternative restaurants or convenience stores are a bit of a hike.

Superb

Overall the staff was very cooperative. They went out of the way to help. Only thing missing was bathroom upkeeps.

Location was great

Most of the rooms were not well kept. They had some bathroom problems.

Good size rooms

BDC stated that there was a free shuttle service to the city. There was not. Cost us $14 aid each way. This added up over the duration of our stay. Also stated 1.5km to city. It was NOT.

A very nice resort but go out to town for eating!

The room. The private pool. The view.

The stuff in the restaurant. Totally unprofessional. Mostly trainees but unsupervised. Their English is less than basic. We didn't have any problems in communicating with the housekeeping or reception stuff. But the restaurant stuff is a complete disaster. Almost every order was changed except for those pointed with a finger in the menu . We didn't speak about the philosophy! Only basic things strictly concerned with eating. They speak very silently, it was hardly possible to hear what they said! Yes, they are nice and polite but difficult in communicating.
