Murali and his family are wonderful people.They very well hosted us. The stay was as comfortable as it can be.I would recommend this place if you want to experience a comfortable stay and for Hampi exploration.

Calm and chilled out stay with great staff!

Calm and tranquil guesthouse set amongst rice paddies. Nice place to explore from or relax. Rooms were good, staff were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They can also organise tours of Hampi for you which we did and it was great.

There was no wifi whilst we were there.

It was new so everything was fresh. Sitting on the verandah with the views was delightful.

The food was extremely expensive and when I kept asking how much the pancakes and tea were I was ignored repeatedly. Eventually, the day after, we were given a menu price list. Beware 2 pancakes and 2 cups of tea cost 480 rupees. We spent less than that in total in town for the rest of our meals over 2 days which involved a lovely walk up to the main road. The address given is not up to date so you assume you are near Hampi when in fact you are several miles away. It costs at least 10-15 to get to the stay from Hospete. We actually used our own auto rickshaw which was 400r less than the one offered by the property. There was hot water but you had to collect it yourself from a pot on the fire for a bucket and chuck it. There was no Wi-Fi either. Its a developing property and Im sure these teething problems will be sorted. Wed booked for 5 days and due to a lot of the information about the property being incorrect we changed our stay to only 2. According to booking.com we were down to stay only 1 night but we actually stayed 2 nights. In our calculations we had apportioned the taxes as 2/5 of the full stay (12600r) so the final amount owed was 5040r. However we were charged 5400 - 360 extra in taxes! This was more than the total for a 5 day stay!

Enjoyed a delightful stay at the huts in Hampi! Cozy and serene atmosphere, perfect for a getaway. Aunty, who manages the food section, is incredibly sweet and adds a warm touch to the experience. Highly recommend for a peaceful trip!

I would stay here again

The bamboo cabins are brand new and located in a beautiful environment next to rice fields. The family is very friendly. Very tasty dinner is available upon request (cooked by the mother).

Some little details can be improved in the cabins - but this may come with time

I would have loved to chill out in an air-conditioned Hut just to soothe my freyed body and mind after a full day of exploring the Hampi and it's sorrounding areas. Overall it was a nice stay and the host was exceptionally warm, willing and available to help us out in making our stay memorable. Surely going to come back to Murali Homestay for sure

Fan just doesn't get the job done for cooling the room to my liking.

I recently stayed at Murali Homestay in Hampi and had a lovely experience. The staff was welcoming and the owner, Mr. Murali, was a fantastic host. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful ambiance for a good night's rest. While basic, the facilities met my needs, and the homestay's convenient location made it easy to explore the nearby attractions. Mr. Murali's local insights added a special touch to my stay.
