The Kansas City Marriott Downtown is praised for its friendly and knowledgeable staff, convenient location for nearby activities such as BBQ, and clean and well-appointed rooms. However, some guests (Read More)had issues with the bar's mediocre food and drinks, as well as the loud HVAC system in the rooms. The West Wing is farther from the main lobby, but still comfortable. Overall, the hotel provides a consistent and enjoyable experience, with a great gym and Midwest hospitality. Some minor issues include a lack of shampoo refill and difficulty controlling the room temperature.

After we got the room thing sorted out, it was a lovely stay.
Location
Our only hiccup was when we initially went up to our room, it was already occupied! I don't know who was more alarmed, the family that was in the room or us knowing we could have walked in on something!

Nice place!
The bed was very comfortable! The room was very clean! The view was beautiful! The room was a good temperature (we were able to control it ourselves).
We did not like the pillows. They sink flat as soon as you lay your head down. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all almost empty. No microwave in the room.
