The Holiday Inn Club Vacations Smoky Mountain Resort is a well-maintained property with clean rooms and great amenities. The indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, and water park are enjoyable for both (Read More)kids and adults. The location is ideal, close to downtown restaurants and shopping. One reviewer mentioned the outstanding suite with a kitchen and multiple bedrooms. The only complaint was about an awkwardly placed bathtub in one of the rooms. Overall, the resort is highly recommended for family vacations.

We enjoyed our stay.

Size of unit, balcony, fireplace in unit

Fire alarm went off several times during first night of stay requiring us to leave room and walk down 6 floors of stairs. This was corrected but not much sleep for one night.

Passable

Location was good. Received $180 in free food for going to the timeshare presentation.

It is expensive for what it is. No breakfast. There are no vending machines. No ice machines. The 90-minute timeshare presentation - they do not understand no means no. It's very noisy outside early every morning.

Disappointed with the hotel. Should of looked at other placed to avoid the time share push.

Close to all the action. Catholic Church next door. Easy parking.

Pool/water park at the Holiday Inn Express was ice cold. Water was 60 degrees in the water park. Time share push-wouldn't take no for an answer.

Nice location, clean room. Shower is dangerous. Don't want to have to listen to timeshare info.

I did not like the check in procedure. I checked in with one person then they sent me to another person across the room to obtain my keys and was pressured to listen to a timeshare presentation which we kept saying we did not wish to do. After driving for 7 hours we did not need to have a staff member try to talk us into listening to a timeshare presentation. The checkin took longer because of this. i have never experienced such a frustrating check in process. She was so focused on the timeshare presentation that they did not tell us which door to enter, where to put our trash, no coffee in the lobby, and that we had to wash our own towels.

Room was nice except for the tub/shower combination. It is an accident waiting to happen. You have to step over the large tub to get in the shower. I cannot imagine some people are able to do that. I would replace these with a walk in shower and forget the tub. There was also a noisy cart that came by our room around 7:00am each day which woke us up most morning.

Good location, good facilities, didn't like the aggressive sell of Holiday Inn membership

The location was useful to get straight into the Smoky Mountains.

On arrival there was a hard sell tactic from one of the staff members to sign up for a 90 minute introduction in order to get money off at local restaurants. I had screaming children in the car and was clear i didn;t want to spend 90 minutes of my holiday doing that , but he was aggressively pushy/
