The Graduate Berkeley is in a perfect location, close to UCB and many restaurants, with a nearby parking garage. However, the hotel, converted from an old building, lacks insulation between floors an (Read More)d possibly within the walls, resulting in noise issues such as hearing neighbors' phone conversations and occasional snoring. The rooms are small but newly renovated, although there is a chance of getting a peculiar room.

Good places to stay near UC Berkeley

The location was excellent.a few steps away from UC Berkeley. Also, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, including hot dog at Top Dog, pizza places and others. Henrys, the restaurant/bar on the first floor, is a very good addition to the Hotel itself. The parking right behind the building was very convenient also.

Although the overall atmosphere was fine, everything appears a bit old. There are not much amenities in the room.

Excellent location but sometimes felt like a luxury dorm

Location relative to UC Berkeley was great. I felt comfortable walking to and from campus early in the morning and past dark. Plenty places to eat and drink nearby. Amenities were fine, fitness room was exactly what I needed and theres a restaurant attached to the property that's not bad.

The rooms had weird smells. My clean clothes left smelling like the room afterwards which is unpleasant. The price is pretty expensive for what you get. Also no breakfast but free coffee coupons

The staff were all very pleasant. The girls in Henrys were so helpful and informative about Berkeley and the surrounds

The toilet wobbled and didnt seem to be plumbed properly. The air conditioning didnt work and was very noisy. We had to ask for our rooms to be serviced. The price per night was excessive and dont feel it is very good value for money
