Had food, staff, parking, felt safe, central to SF/Oakland/Berkeley.

My bed! And I'm not a picky sleeper, but it sank so far in the middle that my back was bothered the next day. My room (221) absolutely needs a new mattress.

Would love to come back when there is a change in management.

The location is convenient and there is free parking. Checking in was easy and the lobby is beautiful, except for the bar directly across from check-in. The TV in the room was impressive.

Our experience with the GM, Jamie, was extremely poor. He made the trip unpleasant, as he was very inconsiderate of us as customers. When we arrived at the hotel, we noticed the bar is right there in the lobby. The photos on the hotel website cleverly hide this fact. As we entered and left the lobby, a group sitting at the bar stared at us uncomfortably. We hope this isnt a common occurrence. Most importantly, do NOT pay extra money for a balcony or corner room. The corner rooms show you little to no view because of the placement and height of the hotel and the buildings around it. The bay view is also unimpressive.

Superb

For this area of the bay, free parking and on-site visible security is a gem! The staff are extremely friendly and professional! Great shout-out to the attendant who served us breakfast on Sunday morning! She went above and beyond to ensure our family had a great start to our day!

There were some party revelers being loud late at night going on for quite some time! Not sure if hotel staff addressed them.

Highly recomended.

The room was very clean and nice. The bathroom was also very clean, roomy and well equipped (handheld shower head). Breakfast was ordered from a menu. It was very well prepared and quite large. Breakfast for all was supposed to be included in the price, but wasn't (once again Booking.com failed miserably). However, the Manager was VERY friendly, understanding and flexible and saved the day (thank you so much).

The beds were very narrow (although we were informed from the start).
