I cannot recommend this hotel.

Some of the staff, amazing. Close walk to beach which is tropical paradise

The beds were rock hard when arriving. Super firm mattress where ringing lobby they advised only mattress they have. We asked to see another room. Long and behold softer mattress was lied to by staff. The layout of hotel is silly, the massive pool gets no sunlight so doesn't heat up and it always in shade, All the TVs are smart TVS but the hotel has decided to not allow them to connect to internet so unable to use smart services. The pool bar is extremely expensive compared to rest of the island. Like 4 times the amount for a drink then walking to a nicer place on the beach. Their is no incentive for customer to stay and drink at the hotel its like they hate their own guests. Although the food is extremely expensive at the hotel, they make you sign a waiver saying you are not allowed to bring outside food or drink in! Too many silly rules I CANNOT recommend this hotel.

We were actually rushed on check out day which was 12 noon but a staff member opened our door at 10am to see if we were still there!

Comfy bed.Overall the ants didntreally bother me since we weren't in the bedroom most of the time.

Breakfast was excellent, tons of choices. Love the pool and bar!

Weird policies and hidden charges

The hotels charges extra for any simple thing such as baby cot, towel, etc. The communication was very slow and they didnt responded in a timely manner. Although the hotel did not provide baby sitting service, they did not let us bring our baby sitter inside the room and our baby sitter had to always stay in lobby with the baby.

Pics obviously taken 10 years ago as does not look like this now !

First off I booked a king bed in a grand room upon arrival we were offered 2 single beds as all the double/king beds had been taken despite booking this months before arrival !!! After a couple of days they moved us to the room we had paid for but no apology no offer of refund difference no courtesy. Also looking around the interior walls of the dilapidated poolside we noticed quite a few cell phone tower equipment installations !!! Considering the dangers of this we moved to the nearby mandarin bay hotel for the remainder of our stay returning on our departure to collect our 10,000peso 145 deposit which was also not mentioned anywhere until arrival.. apart from the front desk the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful just clearly a case of bad management !!
