What inspired you to start your own travel blog?

I love to pen my thoughts and emotion. I used to keep a diary as a kid. After writing poems, rambles, memoirs, and travelogues I realized that my interest lay in travelling and writing stories on travel, culture and food. My Blog www.rathinasviewspace.com was born as a result of my passion towards writing and travelling.

Top 5 essentials which you must carry along with you on a trip?

While traveling I ensure I have a cap, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, camera and a bottle of water.

How do you support your passion for travelling?

My travels are sponsored when I am invited by tourism boards, travel companies or hospitality industry. Having said that it is not always that I am hosted but I ensure I satiate my travel hunger by  funding my expenses.

What are you favorite Indian holiday destinations?

Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh.

Which destinations are on your bucket list?

Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Sri Lanka.

Tell us about one defining moment of your life which took place while you were travelling.

When I trekked to a remote village Agoda in Uttarakhand which is accessible only by foot. The women in this village lead a hard life in the mountains but they always take it in their stride with a smile on their face. Friendly and ever ready to help they invited me to their humble home for lunch and tea. They made me realize that happiness is best achieved when you help others however little you have.

Do you like to plan your travel or do you just go with the flow?

If I am traveling all alone I prefer to plan my travel so that I do not find myself in a tight spot.

Do you use any apps to plan your travel?

Yes, I do use apps to plan my travel like Skyscanner, Seatguru, Airbnb, Booking.com

Have you tried the Holidify app yet?

Yes, I have installed the app on my mobile.

What are your reviews? Did you find the app helpful?

The app is useful to find travel destinations near your location within a specified distance. Also, it helps to find different types of places based on one’s interest be it beaches, hills, wildlife, deserts, religious destinations.
