The Auroville Bakery, an Auroville mainstay and local favourite, has been serving fresh and airy croissants and pain-au-chocolats to customers that queue up from when it opens bright and early at 7:00 AM and until it shuts shop at 5:30 PM.

The waters of Auroville beach are not very swimmer-friendly and you will not find many people taking a dip in the ocean here.

Another favourite amongst Aurovillians, this pizzeria serves up some of the best pizzas in the area. I had the Margherita pizza and I would recommend it to anybody.

Ask the guesthouse or hotel you're staying at if they have any facilities to help you book your bike/scooter. Gaia's Garden Guesthouse was hugely helpful in helping us book ours!

A great beach to go swimming, Paradise Beach is a little difficult to get to but its pristine white sands are definitely worth it!

The Gaia guesthouse was cosily tucked in inside a wonderful open courtyard that had a verdant garden which was tended to by the owners and the housekeepers. A vestige of colonial architecture, the house itself was a beautiful 3-storey building with high ceilings and lots of windows, lending it?s colourful walls to the light of the morning sun.
