I had the pleasure if interacting with Mr Gihan from Splendid Lanka and I must put in record that all interactions between us were very perfect, highly professional, very prompt and clear. From the as (Read More)pect of tour itinerary to booking of hotels, the job was done flawlessly. The hotel booked was also of reasonably good standard.
Everything thing, however,didn't go well as the tour guide, Mr Chandika, booked was not only incompetent, lacking the knowledge of places and devoid of the traits of a successful guide. He even didn't possess the confidence required from a guide and he was found shy of speaking to the group members facing them. Even his expressions were not clear.
His mannerism too lacked the minimum standards. Besides coming late on both days, he desired to leave the group even before reaching the hotel on the first day on the pretexte that his house was on the way and he wouldn't have to come back after dropping the guests at he hotel.
And he agreed that he is not good at the job.
And there many other things about him!
All in all, he was probably not a good choice for a guide and needs to be kept off from such duties. It is most likely that Splended Lanka didn't examine the abilities of the person before booking him as such.

The splendid Lanka provided me a really cheap quote. Initially I was not sure about their service at such low cost. However they exceeded my expectations. We stayed in sri Lanka for 4 nights 5 days. O (Read More)ur driver, Shushanta, was very helpful person. He guided us and even advised us where to buy anything at cheaper cost. They are not the usual travel agents who tries to fool the customers to get more commission. I really appreciate their service and will definitely recommend it to anyone who is planning a trip to Sri Lanka.
