It was good. A bit expensive though vn i cross checked on reaching. Overall satisfactory n comfortable stay.
There might be nagging from cab driver during trip which u hv to bear.
Himachal Pradesh with my family - March 2023
We (my wife, son, daughter & I) travelled Himachal Pradesh with Smart Travel Solutions for 10 nights & 11 days during the end of March’23. We got in touch with Smart Travels through phone/whatsapp & s (Read More)tarted exchanging messages on the itinerary & choice of hotels. I found both Indu Kashyap & Mr. Tarun quite responsive & quick in turning around on those requests. Our trip was finalised & found the cab & the hotel rooms were all booked as discussed when we reached our destinations. Though I was quite apprehensive about the travel agent because I did not find any reviews neither on their web site nor anywhere regarding their service or if they are genuine. But I must say, they were available all along the trip & that provided some comfort. So we enjoyed the places we went & the cab driver obliged us by taking to places we wanted to visit. At the same time, it is important to mention a few incidents which could have been easily avoided but left a sour taste along with sweet memories of the places. In Shimla, the child’s room charge was not paid & I mentioned it to Mr. Tarun at the time of check in. The hotel guys kept us waiting & did not allow us to check out till, the due was settled by the travel agency. The other one was really unwarranted & unacceptable to me. The Travel agent again did not pay the cab driver his full & final dues (think it was Rs 17,000/-) though the driver went on asking for a few days. On our return journey way to Chandigarh airport, the cab driver just switched off the car on a service road 6 kms before the airport. Though it was afternoon but the road was quite empty & getting stranded with my wife, son & 7 years daughter in a new city was not at all pleasant & acceptable. I was frowning in anger since I paid all my dues on time whenever requested but why my family & I are being taken as a hostage for a payment not done by the travel agent to the driver. I called Tarun a couple of times & eventually the matter settled & we reached the airport. I felt relieved. These are certain things Smart Travels need to take care of while dealing customers/clients, while travelling many unforeseen things come up (like we got stuck in heavy snow at Jalori pass & had to personally arrange & pay for a vehicle to reach Rampur) which are okay but the ones which I mentioned above could be avoided at the first place instead of leaving till the end.
