Trip to Kandy, Ella, Mirissa, Colombo, Sri Lanka

So our guide was Mr Imran, he is a very kind and soft spoken person. Very punctual and considerate about the tourists. He explained each and every thing and was very patient to answer our questions. His driving was great as well didn’t feel tired after long journeys. We wanted some indian food which he made sure he would find a good hotel for. Overall it was and amazing experience. The entire iti (Read More)nerary was very well planned by Mr Dhammika and he even made changes as per our requirements regarding places to visit and hotels. The stay was very comfortable and hotels were clean, great choice made my them. Overall the entire experience was peaceful all thanks to these 2 people and hoping to have more such trip going forward.

Overall, we had a very good experience with our guide, Mr. Ceasor. He was highly punctual and covered every destination listed in our itinerary. However, we had a disappointing experience at the High Garden hotel in Nuwara Eliya. There were no vegetarian options available.

Sign of Lanka operate some phenomenal tours! After we booked our tour, they were prompt with getting in touch to fix our pick up time, and made sure everything ran smoothly, all the way till our drop (Read More) off. I highly recommend using them as your tour operator when you're in Sri Lanka. Chamila was our driver, he is prompt, and friendly, he even stopped to get us some delicious fruits like lychees and mangoes! I'd definitely request him. We had the best safari of the Madu Ganga River, visited a beautiful Buddhist temple on one of the river islands, one of the most peaceful places my feet have touched. Our river safari guide was absolutely brilliant. It's one of the cleanest rivers I've cruised on, not a single piece of plastic in sight! We experienced Mangrove tunnels, cinnamon tea, open fish spas, hundreds of bats, black monkeys, a bunch of crocodiles, a old Hindu temple that has beautiful scars of the 2004 tsunami, and I also found my favourite fruit! The King Coconut is a close second (best cure for a hangover, apparently it's a local trade secret!) We topped our tour up with copping some gems, I got the cutest wee star sapphire gemstone! 🥺💎 I yoinked a puppy croc today and gave it a wee forehead kiss. 🤭🫠 I've always liked reptiles, but now i think I'm in love 😌🥹.

We had a wonderful tour through the tea fields of Ella and to Lipton's Seat with Shad and his tuk-tuk. Shad let us experience the tea-making process. He showed us the plantations and stopped at a tea (Read More)factory where we could watch the entire process from leaf to tea bag. Shad is a very pleasant guy, he drives carefully and even offered us a snack on the way back. Along the way, he stopped regularly to take beautiful photos of us. We had a great experience.
