✅ Cab Arrived on Time – The driver was punctual every day, and transportation was smooth.
✅ Hotel Rooms Were Clean – Despite the inconvenient location, the rooms were well-maintained and staff was polite.
✅ Breakfast & Dinner Were Decent – The food quality at the hotel was good, though expensive.
✅ Sonmarg Experience – Enjoyed the snow activities like sledging and ATV rides, though they w (Read More)ere overpriced.
✅ Houseboat Stay Was Cozy – The houseboat was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly.
1️⃣ False Promises on Accommodation & Extra Charges
❌ We were promised 3-star accommodation, but the agency initially offered a low-end home stay (Connecting Kashmir), falsely claiming no hotels were available in Srinagar.
❌ Forced to pay ₹5,000 extra for an alternate hotel (Ambience Stay), I was left to trust the agent’s local knowledge.
❌ The hotel was in a military zone, far from the main ci (Read More)ty (12-13 km away), with no shops or market nearby.
2️⃣ Gondola Tickets Mess – Zero Assistance from the Agency
❌ For five days, I kept asking about Gulmarg Gondola tickets, and the agency assured me they were easily available.
❌ When we reached Gulmarg, we found out tickets were sold out—a complete failure in planning by the agency.
3️⃣ Terrible Coordination & Payment Issues
❌ After checking out from the hotel Day 4, the manager called us back, demanding payment, saying the travel agency had not paid.
❌ We were repeatedly asked to turn back, wasting 30 minutes, and were even threatened by owner with additional billing.
❌ When I called the agency, the owner (Sumer) simply said this was his "first time" booking this hotel and had no idea about the issue.
4️⃣ No Itinerary Guidance – Felt Like We Were on Our Own
❌ The agency provided no recommendations or advice—we were simply given a list of spots to visit without any insights knowing that I have an elder mother and 3 kids.
❌ No suggestions -- it felt like we had booked everything ourselves.
5️⃣ Hidden Charges & Poor Hospitality at the Houseboat
❌ The houseboat charged for drinking water, refusing to provide even two complimentary bottles for two rooms. This 120Rs for bottle gave me more pain than the entire 52000 trip.
❌ Dinner was below average because we were the only six guests.
Final Verdict – Avoid Shreen Tours and Travels
? Poor planning, hidden charges, no coordination, and zero responsibility—this is not how a professional travel agency should operate.
This review is not about money—I paid everyone tips (driver, hotel, houseboat staff). The real problem is the sheer mismanagement, lack of coordination, and zero accountability from Shreen Tours and Travels.
