Shanti Travel worked very hard to understand who we were and what we might like to do during our 14 day trip to India from Mumbai, to Hampi through the Ghats to Goa. The planning agent was very respo (Read More)nsive to email and was available by phone in case of problems throughout the trip. We had stunning hotels, seamless transfers, great drivers and guides and had an amazing time. There were one or two little hitches - throughout the planning process we made a number of changes as we settled on the itinerary - there were a few little mistakes/typos in the docs. Being a bit anal I made sure these were corrected before we left, things might have been fine but I would recommend that you read things very carefully and be sure your paperwork stacks up. Also, we had booked a car and driver for the trip and this was not available every day as we understood would be the case. This might be a case of 'translation' but I think the wording was pretty clear. Just be very sure if you have a car, which days it is available and for how long - get it in writing. Overall though, the above did not detract from the whole trip, which was excellent - we'd use Shanti again without hesitation and would recommend to others.
