We are a 5 Star Rated Boutique Safari Operator specializing in personalised Safari Arrangements in East Africa.
We believe that a Safari is, hands down, one of the best ways to experience the magnificence of Africa and her abundant wildlife, her hospitable & friendly people and her stunning landscape – un-staged, un-spoiled, seemingly un-touched!
Sadly, the average African Safari has become commoditised – impersonal and mass market oriented. This is not unlike many other popular travel destinations around the world.
Which is why we decided to create something different.
We are a company guided by a core fundamental principle of “crafting and delivering the very best experience and value we can for each and every one of our clients.”

We used My Kenya Travel for our Kenya Safar in December 2025 and it was an excellent experience throughout.
From the outset, Gurmukh was responsive, clear and practical in helping shape the itinerary (Read More). The planning felt thoughtful rather than generic, and everything was executed exactly as promised.
On the ground, the logistics ran smoothly. Transfers were seamless, the lodges were very well chosen, and the guides were professional and knowledgeable. We always felt well looked after without things feeling over-managed.

Our accommodations:
• Palm River Lodge (Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe): A beautiful location close to the falls and local markets — perfect for exploring.
• Ivory Lodge (Eastern Hwange National Park): A magical “treehouse-style” stay where elephants and other wildlife came to drink nearby. We could hear them at night — an incredible experience.
• Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa (Chobe River): Set right on the riverbank, where crocodiles drifted past as we relaxed.
The staff everywhere were warm, accommodating, and attentive — especially with our vegan and vegetarian dietary needs.
Unforgettable experiences:
• Sunset cruise on the Zambezi River
• Chobe boat cruise — completely different and equally amazing
• Helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, Batoka Gorge & Victoria Falls Bridge

We booked our safari for 14–22 October 2025, and our experience with MyKenya Travel has been outstanding from the very beginning. Gurmukh arranged a personal call, explained every aspect of how a safa (Read More)ri works, and even encouraged us to do our own research, something we really appreciated for its honesty and transparency.
He guided us through the different types of accommodation, then built a complete itinerary, tweaking it to match our budget, dietary needs, and comfort level. Once we finalised everything, Gurmukh handled all the bookings, including our train tickets to Voi where our amazing journey began at Salt Lick. We highly recommend visiting Salt Lick — simply sitting there watching elephants, zebra, deer and so many other animals coming and going to the watering hole was absolutely mind-blowing.
We chose to drive to Nakuru, Amboseli and the Maasai Mara. The journeys were long, but this allowed us to see so much more of Kenya than if we had flown, and it made the entire experience even more special.
Too many highlights to list but the balloon safari over the Maasai Mara at sunrise , and a bush breakfast by the river watching hippos and crocodiles were unforgettable.
Throughout the trip, Gurmukh stayed in daily contact, constantly refining timings to make sure we had plenty of game drives as well as time to rest. His experience and attention to every little detail turned this into the most fantastic, unforgettable safari we could have hoped for.
We cannot recommend My Kenya Travel and Gurmukh highly enough.
