Excellent Uttarakhand Tour Experience!
I recently completed an Uttarakhand tour with Mount Vive Danulti Tours and Travels, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.
The owner is extremely helpful, cooperative, and always available to assist throughout the journey. The entire tour was well-organized, including transportation, accommodation, and sightseeing. Trip to Mussoorie

The Positives:
The initial planning and daily itinerary flow of the trip were satisfactory.
Major issues with hotel quality and transport transparency
We recently booked an Uttarakhand tour through Mountview Tours. While the trip itinerary itself was well-planned, our overall experience was heavily impacted by poor hotel quality and a frustrating, uncommunicative transport arrangement.
The Rooms (Needs Major Improvement):
Mussoorie: The room quality was very poor for the pric (Read More)e paid. We experienced frequent power cuts, and the hotel had absolutely no power backup or even a portable fan to offer. Because of this, I had no choice but to check out with my family on the very second day of the trip.
Kausani: This room desperately needs renovation. We were greeted with broken tiles, a dirty bathroom, stained flooring, cobwebs, and cockroaches running around. To make matters worse, no compensation was offered, and when I tried calling Mountview Tours to complain during checkout, my calls went completely unanswered.
The Vehicle & Transport Issues:
We were told by the vehicle owner that our cab had limitations and was not allowed to enter Nainital. However, locals confirmed that all outside vehicles are permitted for tourist pickup and drop-offs (only local sightseeing and stopping on Mall Road is prohibited).
Because the owner had strictly instructed the driver not to enter Nainital, we were forced to shell out extra money out of our own pockets for local commutes just to reach our vehicle every time. This caused immense inconvenience to my family, led to unnecessary arguments with the driver and owner, and was never disclosed to us prior to booking.
Advice to Future Travelers:
1. Verify Rooms: Confirm the exact hotel names and room standards beforehand to ensure good service and basic amenities like power backup.
2.Clarify Cab Permits: Explicitly ask if the assigned cab has the necessary permits to enter Nainital for pickups/drops so you aren't stuck paying extra for local transport.
3.Payment Terms: Do not clear the full payment until the trip is successfully completed. Paying everything upfront leaves you with zero leverage if things go wrong.
Overall, a satisfactory layout for a trip, but the execution regarding stay comfort and transport transparency fell incredibly short.

During your stay in Mussoorie, the region experienced weather-related power disruptions that were beyond the control of both the hotel and our company. In many hill stations of Uttarakhand, power backup facilities are limited and may not support all room operations during extended outages.
However, understanding the inconvenience caused to your family, our team immediately arranged and upgraded your stay by shifting you to a premium hotel in Dhanaulti at our own cost as a goodwill gesture. We made every effort to ensure your comfort despite circumstances that were not under our direct control.
2. Kausani Hotel Concern
We take hotel quality concerns very seriously. However, we would like to clarify that no complaint regarding the room condition was reported to our operations team during your stay or before checkout.
The issue was brought to our attention only after the checkout process had already been completed. Had we been informed during the stay, we could have immediately coordinated with the hotel management, arranged room replacement, or provided an alternative solution. As a customer-focused Uttarakhand travel company, we always try to resolve issues in real time whenever they are reported.
3. Nainital Vehicle & Transport Clarification
We would also like to clarify that the restrictions regarding vehicle movement in Nainital were already clearly mentioned in the itinerary shared before booking confirmation. As stated in the itinerary, government regulations restrict outside commercial vehicles in certain areas, especially around Mall Road and nearby sightseeing zones.
Additionally, the itinerary specifically mentions that local union cabs may be required for certain points and that these charges are generally payable directly on the spot by guests.
Despite this, in order to make your travel experience smoother, our company voluntarily paid ₹700 and ₹500 from our own side for local transportation support during your trip. This was done solely as a goodwill gesture and customer convenience, even though these expenses were not included in the package terms.

Trip to Nainital, Corbett National Park
Our journey with Mount View Tours and travels was fantastic. We visited Haridwar, Jim Corbett National Park with safari, and Nainital. Everything was arranged exactly as per our plan, and the entire trip was superb.
The stay at Jim Corbett Treat Resort, the safari experience, sightseeing at Jim Corbett, the hotel in Nainital, and all the sightseeing arrangements were excellent. The transport car (Read More)was in very good condition, and Driver Mr. Sachin was very kind and supportive throughout the journey.
Special thanks to Shivani Ma’am for her continuous follow-up, detailed coordination, and advance communication with the resort and hotel staff, which made our trip smooth and memorable.
