The trip overall was average and did not meet our expectations. Right from the beginning, it is important to note that Manish operates in a B2B model and does not have any physical presence at the des (Read More)tination. This possibly explains the lack of on-ground accountability and oversight during the trip. Considering there were very limited activities included in the package, we expected significantly better planning and coordination. The highlights of the trip were the service provided by our cab driver, Shanmugam, and the coordination by Faiz. Shanmugam was extremely punctual, professional, and gave us no reason to complain throughout. Faiz’s planning and timely communication were also commendable and ensured that arrangements in Port Blair went smoothly. However, several aspects of the experience were disappointing: 1. The coordinator in Havelock provided one of the poorest experiences of the trip. While he initially briefed us about kayaking and scuba options, when we asked about arranging a transparent kayak (which was available through our resort), he said he would check and call back but never did. Upon following up, he informed us it wasn’t possible. We then requested a regular kayak booking, but after further delay, he informed us there were no slots available. Fortunately, since we were staying for four nights, we managed to arrange it through our resort. This clearly reflected a lack of ownership and responsiveness. 2. A complimentary photoshoot at Radhanagar Beach was to be arranged. We requested a 2:30 PM slot, which was initially agreed upon. However, the photographer later shifted it to 3 PM, then to 3:30 PM, and between 3:30 and 4 PM kept saying he would arrive “in 10 minutes.” Throughout this, there was no proactive follow-up or coordination from the assigned coordinator. 3. For the return ferry, we were informed that the cab would arrive at 6:45 AM. By 6:50 AM, we still did not have the driver’s contact details. Only after we reached out did the coordinator contact the driver. Basic checks to ensure a timely pickup were clearly missing. Overall, while there were a few positives, the experience lacked consistent coordination, accountability, and proactive communication- areas that need serious improvement.
