By the grace of ma vaisnu devi our Jammu and Kashmir trip from 3rd June to 12th June was excellent. All credit goes to our travel agent Mr. Faisal Bhat and Mr. Sayed Bhat of Golden Bird Tour & Travel. They are very good human being. They always responded our phone calls and provided good vehicles, drivers and hotels ( Hotel Makarni Palace ). In short they took all round care of us at a very reason (Read More)able price. We went to Jammu by flight, we were picked up by Travera and taken to the hotel in Katra. We took rest the whole day and in the evening started for ma vaisnudevi temple. We were guided by the hotel authorities. We took ponny @ 700/- per head for dropping. We walked while coming done as we are not used to ponny and our buttocks were paining. Our daughter was carried by Pithoo from half way who charged 250/- only. By morning we reached hotel and took rest the whole day. The next day we took flight for Srinagar. My suggestions for those who are new and with wife and kids: --- 1. First visit ma vaisnudevi temple then go for Srinagar. 2. Don’t go by chopper. It gets cancelled most of the time. The joy of climbing on foot or ponny is immense. 3. Keep two days for Katra, evening is the best for climbing and next day take rest. 4. June is very hot so don’t take any woolen cloths. 5. If you are in a economy budget then don’t go for any marketing. Katra is very costly. -----jai mata di---
