Exceptional organization and amazing crew!
The four of us had a great experience climbing Kilimanjaro and going on safari with Taste of Kilimandscharo Adventures. The entire trip was extremely well (Read More)-organized and the communication with Edwin was excellent.
The crew on the mountain and the safaricrew were incredible and took such great care of our group. The only minor suggestion for improvement would be to allow a little more time at the viewpoints and at the summit to enjoy the views.
Overall, an unforgettable adventure for all 4 of us. Highly recommended!

In December of 2025, two friends of mine and I had a dream and vision to climb Kilimanjaro and have an exceptional vacation in Tanzania in September of 2026. Taste of Kilimanjaro Adventures made that (Read More)dream come true in the best of ways. From the start, Edwin did a fantastic job working with us and organizing our ideas and plans into something tangible and great. He did a great job communicating exactly what we would need, and what we should prepare for. Once we actually landed in Tanzania, his partner Frank did a great job making sure we were taken care of by driving us around and showing us the culture of the country. We did a 7-8 day route starting at the Lemosho gate to ensure the highest chances of success, and ToKA provided us with a great crew of porters and guides. I would personally recommend that you request Daniel and Kajia and their team. They are a team that ToKA hires that are almost all family, and close knit. They were such a joy to spend time with, to get to know, and very good at their job. The relationship we built with their team while we were climbing was just as good as the feeling of reaching Uhuru peak. All three of us made it to the top because of the efforts of their team, and God's grace. After we got off the mountain, ToKA helped us continue to enjoy the wonders of Tanzania by taking us to a tour of Materuni village and their waterfall/coffee tour, the Chemka Hot Springs, a 1 day safari, and the cultural center in Arusha. In all of this, ToKA exceeded our expectations by keeping us safe, transporting us around, and telling us all about Tanzania's culture. Some people may want to choose a bigger company/org for their adventure in Tanzania, but I'd say you're much better off choosing a smaller operator that's worth it's salt. You'd be making the right move trusting Taste of Kilimanjaro Adventures.
Five-Star Experience with Taste of Kilimanjaro
I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Taste of Kilimanjaro. I spent around 20 days with the company in total, including an 8-day Kilimanjaro tre (Read More)k and a 6-day safari, and I can honestly say that I would choose them again without hesitation.
Our Kilimanjaro experience was exceptional from beginning to end. There were four of us climbing, supported by a team of around 15 people, and the entire crew was incredible. Everyone was consistently friendly, smiling, encouraging, and professional. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable—not only about the mountain itself, but also about altitude, the different environments we were walking through, and how to make sure we were safe and comfortable throughout the trek. You could really feel that they had extensive experience and genuinely cared about our experience and our success on the mountain.
The organization was also excellent. Everything was well or quickly prepared when we arrived and the food during the trek was honestly much better than we expected. Considering the conditions on the mountain, the team did an impressive job providing us with good, varied and satisfying meals.
The only thing I would mention as an area for improvement would be the sleeping bags and the tents’ zippers. We found the sleeping bags a little cold, and all four of us experienced very cold feet at some point during the nights, especially as we gained altitude. The tents’ zippers were a bit troublesome but crew membres would quickly take care of it. Aside from that, we felt extremely well taken care of throughout the entire climb.
Our safari experience was just as enjoyable. Our guide, Franky, and our cook were both exceptional. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly generous with their time. What really stood out to us was how much knowledge they shared with us. Frankie was not simply driving us around and pointing out animals—he helped us understand the wildlife, the environment, animal behaviour, and what we were actually seeing. It was also clear that they genuinely enjoyed what they were doing. Their enthusiasm made the safari feel much more personal and engaging.
There is, of course, quite a lot of driving involved in a safari, but that is simply part of the experience, and we felt that everything went smoothly. The accommodations were good, the tents were perfectly fine, and the food was consistently good too. At one point, our guide even went out of his way to get us newer mattresses when the original ones weren’t in the best condition. That kind says a lot about the team.
Overall, I would give Taste of Kilimanjaro five stars without hesitation. From the organization and accommodations to the food, transportation and, most importantly, the people, we were extremely happy with our experience. If you’re considering climbing Kilimanjaro or going on safari in Tanzania, I would absolutely recommend giving them a chance. We had an incredible time and left with a huge amount of appreciation for the entire team.
