Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi - Masai Mara National Park
You'll be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport at 07:00 AM and head south toward the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley. Proceed to Masai Mara, arriving at Zebra Plain Mara Camp in time for lunch. After lunch, relax and prepare for an afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is home to all the Big Five — rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant — as well as other wildlife such as zebras, hippos, wildebeests, hyenas, and a variety of bird species including the Maasai ostrich, geese, storks, and vultures. You'll spend the evening exploring this magnificent reserve before returning to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay on a full-board basis.

You'll spend the entire day exploring the park in search of the Big Five. With over 450 species of birds recorded here, there is much to see, including rhinos, leopards, elephants, buffalo, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, Jackals, lions, many types of antelopes, crocodiles, and giraffes. During July, August, and September, the reserve is usually filled with migrating wildebeest and zebras from the Serengeti (Tanzania). A picnic lunch is served in the park. In the evening, you'll return to your camp for dinner and your overnight stay on a full-board basis.

Another exciting full day in the Masai Mara. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are offered, while lunch is enjoyed as a picnic near the hippo pools. The landscape, wildlife, and river crossings offer incredible photo opportunities. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at Zebra Plain Mara Camp on a full-board basis.
Depart early in the morning for Lake Nakuru National Park. Renowned for its pink flamingo-lined shores, Lake Nakuru is also a rhino sanctuary with over 100 rhinos. The park also supports lions, giraffes, zebras, and leopards. Arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar, followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay on a full-board basis at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar.
Begin early for the drive to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for check-in and lunch at Kibo Safari Camp. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in this picturesque park, known for its huge elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibo Safari Camp on a full-board basis.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day safari in Amboseli with packed lunch. Visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park and an iconic view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Later, explore a traditional Maasai village for an authentic cultural experience. Return to Kibo Safari Camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay on a full-board basis.
After breakfast (around 9:00 AM), begin your journey back to Nairobi with en route game viewing. On arrival, you'll be transferred to your city hotel for a well-deserved rest or to JKIA for your onward journey. Thank you for choosing Rocktrek Safaris for your Kenya safari!

All arrangements including hotel, game drives, food arrangements, personalised s (Read More)ervices by İmara Destinations was excellent We started our trip from New Delhi to Nairobi via Mumbai by Indigo flight. Dennis was there to welcome us at the airport early in the morning. We started off to Samburu, had lunch on the way had a relaxing evening at the resort. We had a wonderful game drive next day at the samburu national reserve, saw a leopard, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, etc from close quarters. We went to ol Pajeto conservancy, fed blind rhino, saw chimpanzees and other animals including two horned rhinos, proceeded to Nakuru saw pelicans, flamingos etc there, Masai Mara we stayed for three nights and had two game drives. Could see lots of lions, cheetah with its prey as well as a pregnant cheetah, zebras, giraffes etc. we also saw ostriches and other animals and birds there. We then went to Naivasha had a boat ride with walk and see crocodiles and hippos and crescent island visit walked with zebras, impalas and wildebeest but couldn’t see giraffe there. Due to floods last year many parts of crescent island got submerged so could only see part of the island. Our last destination was Amboseli park with game drive there. Overall it was a highly satisfying and interesting experience. İmara Destinations did a very good job of taking us to the exact spots where animals would be seen uninterrupted. Well done İmara Destinations. Thanks to Dennis and Murray for it

His expertise and dedication made every moment of the journey unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you to Ashley and Evans for making this safari truly memorable. Just went for 8 day safari with James and Wild Portraits Safaris...it was spot o (Read More)n perfect. Reasons 1.Clear communication and replies always comes very quickly on WhatsApp. 2. Very genuine with suggestions and doesn't do things as a job or formality. 3. James is very knowledgeable. 4. The enthusiasm and passion shown by James was just so infectious. 5. The planning of itinerary takes care of all the finer details. 6. They really take care of your focus and they don't try to sell anything you are not interested in. For example we skipped the village visit because we didn't see value in it. 7. Quite flexible and adjusts as things progress.
