Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu & Scenic Drive to Pokhara
  • Welcome to the Himalayan kingdom!
  • Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, your group will be greeted by our representative and escorted to your 10-seater EV Mini Bus.
  • We will immediately begin the 200 km journey toward Pokhara.
  • The drive takes approximately 6?7 hours, following the winding Prithvi Highway.
  • You will witness the lush, terraced hillsides and the rushing Trishuli River, a popular spot for white-water rafting.
  • We will make stops at scenic riverside resorts for refreshments.
  • As you approach Pokhara, the 'Tourism Capital of Nepal,' the skyline will be dominated by the towering Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peaks.
  • After check-in at your resort, enjoy a peaceful evening walk along the Phewa Lake shoreline, where the mountain reflections create a magical atmosphere.
  • Your day begins with an optional early morning excursion to Sarangkot to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges.
  • After breakfast, we head to the World Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa), situated on a hilltop offering a 360-degree view of the lake and mountains.
  • Next, we visit Davis Falls (Patale Chhango), where the water disappears into an underground tunnel.
  • Just across the street, explore the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a sacred limestone cave housing a natural Shiva Lingam.
  • We continue to the Bindabasini Temple, the oldest temple in Pokhara, and the Seti River Gorge.
  • The afternoon is reserved for a relaxing boat ride on Phewa Lake, visiting the Tal Barahi Temple located on a small island in the center of the lake.
  • After two days of travel and exploration, this day is dedicated to relaxation or personal interests.
  • Pokhara is famous for its vibrant Lakeside Market, perfect for picking up local handicrafts, pashminas, and trekking gear.

  • Today we embark on a thrilling mountain drive into the Mustang District.
  • We leave the lush greenery of Pokhara behind as the road follows the Kali Gandaki River, moving through the world?s deepest gorge.
  • You will pass through charming villages such as Beni and Tatopani, which is famous for its natural hot springs.
  • The landscape gradually transforms into a high-altitude desert with unique rock formations and wind-swept valleys.
  • By the time we reach Jomsom (2,743m), you will feel as if you have entered a different world.
  • The air is crisp, and the views of Mt. Nilgiri are spectacular.
  • Jomsom is the administrative hub of Mustang and serves as the gateway to the sacred Muktinath.
  • A day of high spiritual significance.
  • We drive from Jomsom to Muktinath (3,710m), a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists.
  • For Hindus, it is Mukti Kshetra (the place of liberation).
  • You will visit the main pagoda-style temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
  • The most vital ritual is bathing under the 108 brass water sprouts (Muktidhara) and the two holy kunda (ponds), believed to wash away sins.
  • We will also visit the Jwala Mai Temple, where a 'miraculous' eternal flame burns on water.
  • On the way back to Jomsom, we will stop at Kagbeni, a medieval-looking village that serves as the gateway to Upper Mustang, known for its ancient monasteries and the unique culture of the local Thakali people.
  • Begin descent toward the Annapurna foothills, heading to the picturesque village of Ghandruk.
  • Drive through the rugged Kali Gandaki valley, transitioning from the arid Mustang landscape back into the rhododendron forests.
  • Ghandruk is one of the most famous Gurung villages in Nepal.
  • Upon arrival, be greeted by traditional stone-roofed houses and terraced fields.
  • The village offers an unobstructed 'arm-chair' view of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.
  • In the evening, visit the local Gurung Museum to learn about the history and culture of the brave Gurkha soldiers from this region.
