Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu & Scenic Drive to Pokhara
- Welcome to the Himalayan kingdom!
- Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, your group will be greeted by our representative and escorted to your 10-seater EV Mini Bus.
- We will immediately begin the 200 km journey toward Pokhara.
- The drive takes approximately 6?7 hours, following the winding Prithvi Highway.
- You will witness the lush, terraced hillsides and the rushing Trishuli River, a popular spot for white-water rafting.
- We will make stops at scenic riverside resorts for refreshments.
- As you approach Pokhara, the 'Tourism Capital of Nepal,' the skyline will be dominated by the towering Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peaks.
- After check-in at your resort, enjoy a peaceful evening walk along the Phewa Lake shoreline, where the mountain reflections create a magical atmosphere.
Day 2 Full-Day Pokhara Sightseeing
- Your day begins with an optional early morning excursion to Sarangkot to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges.
- After breakfast, we head to the World Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa), situated on a hilltop offering a 360-degree view of the lake and mountains.
- Next, we visit Davis Falls (Patale Chhango), where the water disappears into an underground tunnel.
- Just across the street, explore the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a sacred limestone cave housing a natural Shiva Lingam.
- We continue to the Bindabasini Temple, the oldest temple in Pokhara, and the Seti River Gorge.
- The afternoon is reserved for a relaxing boat ride on Phewa Lake, visiting the Tal Barahi Temple located on a small island in the center of the lake.
Day 3 Leisure & Rest in Pokhara
- After two days of travel and exploration, this day is dedicated to relaxation or personal interests.
- Pokhara is famous for its vibrant Lakeside Market, perfect for picking up local handicrafts, pashminas, and trekking gear.
- For the adventurous members of the group, optional activities such as:
- Paragliding
- Zip-lining
- Ultra-light flights
- Alternatively, you can spend the day at a lakeside café, reading a book and enjoying the serene environment.
- This 'buffer day' ensures everyone is well-rested and acclimatized before we head into the rugged Mustang region the following morning.
Day 4 Adventurous Drive from Pokhara to Jomsom
- Today we embark on a thrilling mountain drive into the Mustang District.
- We leave the lush greenery of Pokhara behind as the road follows the Kali Gandaki River, moving through the world?s deepest gorge.
- You will pass through charming villages such as Beni and Tatopani, which is famous for its natural hot springs.
- The landscape gradually transforms into a high-altitude desert with unique rock formations and wind-swept valleys.
- By the time we reach Jomsom (2,743m), you will feel as if you have entered a different world.
- The air is crisp, and the views of Mt. Nilgiri are spectacular.
- Jomsom is the administrative hub of Mustang and serves as the gateway to the sacred Muktinath.
Day 5 Muktinath Darshan & Local Exploration
- A day of high spiritual significance.
- We drive from Jomsom to Muktinath (3,710m), a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists.
- For Hindus, it is Mukti Kshetra (the place of liberation).
- You will visit the main pagoda-style temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
- The most vital ritual is bathing under the 108 brass water sprouts (Muktidhara) and the two holy kunda (ponds), believed to wash away sins.
- We will also visit the Jwala Mai Temple, where a 'miraculous' eternal flame burns on water.
- On the way back to Jomsom, we will stop at Kagbeni, a medieval-looking village that serves as the gateway to Upper Mustang, known for its ancient monasteries and the unique culture of the local Thakali people.
Day 6 Drive from Jomsom to Ghandruk
- Begin descent toward the Annapurna foothills, heading to the picturesque village of Ghandruk.
- Drive through the rugged Kali Gandaki valley, transitioning from the arid Mustang landscape back into the rhododendron forests.
- Ghandruk is one of the most famous Gurung villages in Nepal.
- Upon arrival, be greeted by traditional stone-roofed houses and terraced fields.
- The village offers an unobstructed 'arm-chair' view of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.
- In the evening, visit the local Gurung Museum to learn about the history and culture of the brave Gurkha soldiers from this region.
Day 7 Drive to Kathmandu via Manakamana & Bandipur
- Depart from the mountains and head back toward the capital.
- En route, stop at Kurintar for a cable car ride to the Manakamana Temple, situated on a high ridge.
- The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Bhagwati, who is believed to fulfill the wishes of her devotees.
- After the Darshan, make a brief stop at Bandipur, a hilltop settlement known for its preserved Newari architecture and 'living museum' feel.
- The town is car-free and offers a nostalgic glimpse into ancient Nepal.
- Continue the drive to Kathmandu, arriving in the evening for check-in at your hotel.
Day 8 Bhaktapur & Changu Narayan Sightseeing
- Today focuses on the historical grandeur of the Kathmandu Valley.
- First, we visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, known as the 'City of Devotees.'
- Marvel at the following attractions:
- 55-Window Palace
- Golden Gate
- Nyatapola Temple, the tallest pagoda in Nepal
- Watch potters at work in the traditional Pottery Square.
- Taste the famous 'Juju Dhau' (King Curd).
- Later, we drive to the hilltop of Changu Narayan, the oldest Hindu temple in Nepal, dating back to the 4th century.
- The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site and houses some of the most intricate stone, wood, and metal carvings in the entire valley.
Day 9 Leisure & Rest in Kathmandu
- This is a flexible day to enjoy the comforts of Kathmandu.
- After the long drives of the previous days, your group can choose to sleep in and enjoy a late breakfast.
- You might want to visit Thamel, the tourist heart of the city, for some souvenir shopping or to try various international cuisines.
- It is also an excellent time for a traditional Ayurvedic massage or a spa session to soothe the muscles after the mountain journey.
- Your guide can suggest local markets like Asan Tole for an authentic shopping experience where locals buy spices, textiles, and traditional wares.
Day 10 Spiritual Highlights of Kathmandu
- On your final full day, we will visit the most iconic landmarks of Kathmandu.
- We start at Pashupatinath Temple, the holiest Hindu shrine in Nepal, located on the banks of the Bagmati River.
- You can observe the sacred rituals and the unique architecture of the temple complex.
- Next, we will visit the massive Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest in the world and the center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal.
- The day concludes with a visit to Swayambhunath (The Monkey Temple), perched on a hill.
- From here, you can watch the sunset over the entire Kathmandu Valley, with the stupa?s 'all-seeing eyes' watching over the city.
Day 11 Final Shopping & Departure
- The morning is free for last-minute exploration or packing.
- You may wish to revisit a favorite site or do some final gift shopping.
- In the evening, we will gather for a farewell dinner (optional) to celebrate the completion of your journey.
- Your 10-seater EV Mini Bus will then provide a late-night transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight back home.
- Carry with you the blessings of Muktinath and memories of the majestic Himalayas.
