Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Guwahati - Bomdila- 7 hours, 350 kms

Arrive in Guwahati and meet our representative. Travel from the green field of Assam to lush green mountains of Arunachal pradesh. On arrival check in to the hotel. In the evening visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery(Upper Gonpa) and Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa) later after relaxing. Overnight stay at Bomdila.

Day 2 Bomdila to Tawang - 6 hours, 180 kms

After morning breakfast take the mesmerizing road journey to reach Tawang. On the way, witness the snow capped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant GarhWar Memorial. Arrive & check in to the hotel. Evening is free for your leisure. Overnight stay at Tawang.

Day 3 Tawang Local Sightseeing - High Altitude Lakes and Bumla Pass

This morning starts with a tasty breakfast. After that, drive to a high-altitude lake called Shonga-tser Lake, popularly known as Madhuri Lake. Then, drive to Sangetsar Lake, nestled amidst the pristine mountains and picturesque surroundings. Drive further to Bumla Pass, located about 37 km from Tawang. Drive back to the hotel in the afternoon. Enjoy your evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Tawang.

Day 4 Tawang to Bhalukpong - 8 hours, 268 kms

After Breakfast, Transfer to Dirang (1560 Mt. On arrival, check in to the hotel. In the evening, visit apple and kiwi farms in the afternoon ( depending upon the season), such as Dirang Monastery and Kalachakra Monastery. After that, proceed with your overnight stay in Bhalukpong.

Day 5 Bhalukpong to Guwahati - 6 hours, 270 kms

After a good breakfast, check out of your hotel and start your journey towards Guwahati. Our representative will drop you off at the Airport for your further journey.

The Yoga retreat organized by this company was exceptionally divine. This 3 day retreat was an eye opening with professional volunteers & teachers. From pick up to drop we never had to worry about anything.

Drivers of Assam keep chewing tobacco which we noticed majority of them does it. The smell is irritating so request the owner to inform drivers regarding this. Regarding the driver behavior, vehicle tidiness we do not have any issues.

The drive from dawki to mawlylong along the border fence in pitch dark will be memorable for ever. He was calm & composed and ensured no rash driving. Accomodation : As per our package category - we had better homestays with lovely views and calm surrounding. Before the trip, I heard from friends that food will be not comfortable but we had a decent meal in all the stays. Though it was a short trip, thanks for making it more memorable. I will definitely recommend Airgennie to my friends.
