Day 1 Guwahati Airport/ Station to Shergaon
  • Transfer to Shergaon, known for its agricultural products like apples, kiwis, peaches, and maize.
  • Afternoon free for leisure.
  • Overnight stay in Shergaon.
  • Post breakfast, visit the village and explore Zengbu Gompa, Choskorong Waterfall, and the Sherdukpen tribe.
  • Drive to Dirang (80 km / 2 to 3 hours approx).
  • Reach Dirang and check in.
  • Overnight stay in Dirang.
  • After breakfast, visit Mandala Top for bird watching (early morning is preferable).
  • Drive to Khastung Gompa, one of the oldest monasteries (approximately 6 km from Dirang).
  • Visit TDL Monastery for panoramic views.
  • Overnight stay in Dirang.
  • Post breakfast, drive to Tawang (160 km / 6 to 7 hours approx).
  • Stop at Themband Heritage Village (Dirang Dzong).
  • Proceed to Tawang, the land of Monpa Tribes and a major center for Mahayana Buddhism.
  • Cross Se La Pass (13,700 ft) and visit Se La Lake.
  • Visit Jaswantgarh Memorial dedicated to a brave soldier from the 1962 Chinese aggression.
  • Arrive in Tawang and check into the hotel.

  • After breakfast, visit Bumla Pass (India-China Border) and PTSO Lake.
  • Explore Madhuri Lake (Sangetsar Lake) and Pangateng Tso Lake.

1. Our vehicles are not allowed to do PTSo Lake, Madhuri Lake & Bumla Pass Sightseeing. Local vehicles will be provided for the same. We have no control over this local vehicle which may be a combination of Non AC Tata Sumo/Xylo etc. We can arrange the vehicle at an extra cost

2. Bumla la Pass is a border between India & China, hence additional formalities are involved.

  • Post breakfast, drive to Bomdila via Sella Tunnel.
  • Visit Jung Waterfalls enroute.
  • Arrive in Bomdila, explore Bomdila Monastery, and enjoy the picturesque views.
  • Overnight stay in Bomdila.



Bomdila: It is a small town that is the headquarters of the West Kameng district. Set amongst the mighty Himalayas at an altitude of 2530m above sea level it gives the most picturesque view. The sight of the snow-clad mountains, the landscape from the highest point, and the Nechipu Pass is just enchanting and indescribable.

  • Early breakfast and set off for Guwahati.
  • Drive through Rupa and Tenga Valley, with the Jia Bhoroli River alongside.
  • Visit Bhalukpong, Lumun Waterfall, and Tipi Orchidarium.

Trip to Kaziranga National Park, Shillong, Cherrapunjee

We booked the tour package from anirudha das (Riverjourneysindia) for 7 days of meghalaya and guwahati. Mr. Anuriddha das well organised hotel and car booking. 7 days trip was good because of well organised programme by riverjourneyindia crew members. Once again I shall be go with riverjourney for next year. I hope that they will be organised well in next time also

We, the four of us had a very enjoyable n once in a lifetime experience in the above trip, which, was very well planned for us by Mr Anirudh Das, which was exhaustive. The car was good and the driver Boro dada was excellent, he, knew the ways, like, the back of his hand! He was courteous n respectful. The driver to Bumla pass, Mr Bema was equally good too. Breakfast n dinner was included in our (Read More) plan, which, almost in every hotel, we were put up served us to our liking. Thanks to them. Now, coming to the hotels, we were put up in, I would say all were really very good, except for landmark hotel in shillong, which, was pathetic, with broken flooring n very bad housekeeping. The Danang, resort, on a riverbank was altogether a different experience except that there's a long walk, so, it becomes difficult with bags(our bags were carried by the lady employee, we felt bad for her. So, if, the tourist are informed about this n if they have to spend just a night, they can just pack minimum things. Overall, we, enjoyed our trip immensely. Our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Anirudh Das n his associates. Looking forward to next tour...with you. God bless. Drs kumbhats God

We are elderly couples, on recommendation of a relative we booked our trip through River Journeys. I think that was the wise decision. We visited Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh in span of 14 days. My wife doesn't eat onion and garlic which was informed to them and they in turn informed all places in advance. The car and the driver provided was excellent he didn't had to ask anybody for dir (Read More)ections drive directly to hotels. All hotels were near, tidy having good ambiance even in Twang, they provided us with heavy jackets. The hotel in Dirang was situated on river banks and you have to walk on hanging bridge which is a novel experience. Overall the trip has been a memorable for once in life time experience. Trip to Dawki, Shillong

We visited N-E in 2022. Mr Aniruddha Das chalked out our program. Our package was with lodging,breakfast and transport. He provided well trained driver with local knowledge. Hotels provided by him were excellent particularly in Dirang. Our permits were timely arranged. We had no problem in visiting all restricted area's. Mr Das made our trip memorable.
