Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Sigiriya
Upon arrival in Sri Lanka, begin your journey towards Sigiriya. En route, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to over 65 rescued elephants. Witness the charming sights of baby elephants during their feeding and bathing sessions in the river (9:30–10:00 AM and 1:30–2:00 PM).

In the afternoon, explore the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, also known as the "Lion Rock." This UNESCO World Heritage Site rises 600 feet above the surrounding plains and features ancient ruins of a royal palace, frescoes, water tanks, and panoramic views. The climb takes about 3 hours but is well worth the effort.

Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
After breakfast, proceed to Kandy. En route, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, Sri Lanka’s largest and best-preserved cave temple complex, featuring over 150 Buddha statues and stunning ceiling frescoes.

Stop at the Matale Spice Garden for a guided tour and learn about Sri Lanka’s fragrant spices. Visit a local Gem Gallery to admire and learn about the island’s famous gemstones.

On arrival in Kandy, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, housing a revered relic of Lord Buddha. This temple is a significant pilgrimage site and an architectural marvel.

Overnight stay in Kandy.
After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, spread over 147 acres with a spectacular collection of orchids, palms, and flowering trees.

Continue your scenic journey to Nuwara Eliya. En route, stop at the Ramboda Hanuman Temple, Tea Plantations, and the beautiful Ramboda Falls. Learn about tea production and enjoy the misty highland climate.

Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, often called "Little England" for its cool climate and colonial architecture. Explore the picturesque town and relax in its tranquil atmosphere.

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Enjoy a serene boat ride on Gregory Lake, surrounded by rolling hills and well-manicured gardens. Visit Victoria Park, perfect for a morning stroll or birdwatching.

Head to the Seetha Amman Temple, believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by Ravana, and explore the nearby Ashoka Vatika, featured in the Ramayana.

End the day at the beautiful Hakgala Botanical Garden, known for its extensive rose garden and diverse flora.

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast, check out and depart for Colombo. On the way, stop to admire the stunning St. Clair’s Falls and Devon Falls – two of the most scenic waterfalls in the country.

In Colombo, enjoy a guided city tour including visits to Fort, Pettah Bazaar, and the historical Dutch Church of Wolfendhal. Experience the colonial charm and bustling energy of the commercial capital.

Conclude the day with shopping at ODEL Unlimited, one of the city’s most popular retail centers.

Overnight stay in Colombo.

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure back home, taking with you lasting memories of Sri Lanka's rich heritage and scenic beauty.
