Detailed Itinerary
- Arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station in the morning.
- Assistance and warm traditional welcome by our representative.
- Visit the famous Maa Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills (10 km) – a seat of the tantric cult in India and one of the 108 Shakti Peethas in the country.
- Transfer to Kaziranga.
- Evening visit to the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park.
- Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
- After an early wake-up, you will be taken to the riding point in the Central Range (Kohora) for an Elephant Ride.
- After the ride, return to the hotel.
- After lunch, drive to the Central Range (Kohora) of the park for a Jeep safari (direct payment).
- In the evening, visit the nearby Tea Gardens.
- Later, transfer to Shillong.
- Overnight stay in Shillong.
- Note: For the Elephant Safari, Rs. 1600/- per person extra; for the Jeep Safari, Rs. 4200/- for one jeep accommodating six people, payable on the spot. Advance booking is required.
- Wake up early and take a walk around the beautiful village, featuring its hundred-year-old church, to observe how everyone, from children to elders, strives to keep even the tiniest bit of trash off the streets and out of the dustbins.
- After breakfast, visit the single-decker living root bridge in Riwai village.
- Next, drive to Jowai, stopping first at the stunning Krangsuri Waterfall, nestled in the mountains of the Jaintia Hills district in Meghalaya.
- Spend some time at Krangsuri Waterfall, one of the most scenic natural attractions in India.
- Take a dip in the magical waters of the greenish-blue plunge pool, which looks so inviting that you will not be able to resist jumping in.
- Return to Shillong for an overnight stay.
- Wake up early and have breakfast.
- Drive to Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in the world.
- Explore Mawlynnong and take the sky walk for a spectacular view of the living root bridge.
- After lunch, drive to Dawki.
- Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh, where major export and import transactions take place.
- Enjoy a splendid 45-kilometer drive through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience.
- Approaching Dawki, you will see the Umngot River, which serves as the natural boundary between Ri Pnar (Jaintia Hills) and Hima Khyrim (Khasi Hills).
- A single-span suspension bridge has been constructed over the Umngot River.
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
- Morning after breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee, which is renowned for being the wettest place in the world.
- After a drive of 1.5 hours amid pine trees and mist, we reach Cherrapunjee.
- Cherrapunjee features some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves.
- In Cherrapunjee, we visit:
- Nohkalikai Falls
- Seven Sister Falls
- Dainthlen Falls
- Wei Sawdong
- Mawsmai Caves
- Rama Krishna Mission
- Eco Park
- Later, return to Shillong.
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
- Explore Shillong's sightseeing attractions:
- Don Bosco Museum
- Ward?s Lake, located in the heart of the city, popular for its garden walks and boating
- Lady Hydari Park
- Shillong Peak
- Elephant Falls, situated on the outskirts of the city
- Return to Guwahati.
- Enjoy an evening river cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River.
- Overnight stay in Guwahati.

- Cost for Jeep Safari: Rs. 4,200 per reserved jeep (maximum 6 persons allowed)
- Special Entry Tickets to Kamakhya Temple: Rs. 500 per person
- Cancellation more than 30 days from the date of arrival: 15% of Package Cost
- Cancellation between 30 to 20 days from the date of arrival: 40% of Package Cost
- Cancellation between 19 to 10 days from the date of arrival: 60% of Package Cost
- Cancellation between 9 to 3 days from the date of arrival: 80% of Package Cost
- Cancellation between 2 to 1 day from the date of arrival: 90% of Package Cost
- Cancellation less than 24 hours or no show: 100% of Package Cost
- No refund is possible in case of cancellation after the tour starts.
- No refund is possible if the tour is cancelled due to bad weather, civil or political disturbance, or any circumstances beyond human control. However, in such cases, the entire Northeast Tour team will provide full cooperation to make alternate arrangements.
