Day 1 Airport ā€“ Kandy
- Arrive at Colombo International Airport, where you will be met by an airport representative and a designated guide from Esna Holidays. After completing the formalities at the airport, you will be escorted to your air-conditioned vehicle and proceed to Kandy.
- En route, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
- The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, located about 90 km from Colombo towards Kandy, is home to over 100 elephant orphans. This is a place you will truly enjoy and never forget. Most orphans are accustomed to their curious human visitors and are harmless. The orphanage is open from 8:30 AM to 5:45 PM, and visitors can interact with the elephants during regulated bathing and feeding times. You can watch them being fed at 9:15 AM, 1:15 PM, and 5:00 PM. Bathing times are from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
- Visit a Spice Garden.

- The Kandy Cultural Show offers an opportunity to experience some of the traditions of Sri Lanka. Enjoy this hour-long extravaganza as some of the most popular art forms of the island take to the stage. Be amazed by fire dancers and sword dancers, and watch the colorful Kandyan dancers perform to the primal beat of the drums.
- Visit the Kandy Temple.
- The Temple of the Sacred Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) was originally built by the Kandyan Kings in 1595 to house and honor the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. Attracting crowds of white-clad pilgrims bearing lotus flowers for worship, the Maligawa features a myriad of intricate carvings that reflect the architectural values of Kandy. Today, the City of Kandy is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in part because of the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Day 2 Kandyā€“ Nuwara Eliya

- Explore Kandy City.
- Start sightseeing in Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, the Market Crafts Centre, and the Gem Museum. Kandy, the hill capital and venue of the annual Perahera, was the last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings and was ceded to the British in 1815.
- Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya.
- This majestic botanical garden spans 147 acres and was established in 1374 as a pleasure garden for the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. It features more than 5,000 species of trees, plants, and creepers, including rare and endemic species, as well as flora from the tropical world. The Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists. There are five Palm Avenues beautifying the gardens; the earliest and tallest, Royal Palm Avenue, was planted in 1905, and the Double Coconuts from the Seychelles, which have the largest seeds of any plant in the world, is one such avenue.
- Then proceed to Nuwara Eliya, with a stop en route to visit the Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple.
- Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple: According to legend, this is where Hanuman searched for Sita in the jungles above and behind the temple. There is also said to be a pond, the "Sita Tear Pond," formed from Sita's tears. The temple itself is a prominent establishment devoted to this legend and contains a granite statue of Lord Hanuman that is said to be over 40 feet tall. It is believed that Lord Hanuman was searching for Sitadevi from these hills of Ramboda, an area where Rama's forces were gathered against Ravana.
- Visit Seetha Amman Temple.
- The Seetha Amman Temple is located by a stream that catered to the needs of Sitadevi during her stay at Ashok Vatika. She is said to have bathed in this stream. About a century ago, three idols were discovered in the stream, one of which was that of Sita. It is believed that these idols have been worshipped at this spot for centuries. There is now a temple for Lord Rama, Sitadevi, Lakshmana, and Hanuman by the side of this stream. It is interesting to note that footprints resembling those of Lord Hanuman are found by this river, with some being small and others large, indicating the immense powers of Hanuman to transform himself into any size.
- Later in the evening, explore the city of Nuwara Eliya.
- Visit the highland city that was the premier holiday resort town of the British in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Enjoy walking through the streets lined with pretty cottages, quaint villas, and beautiful mansions. Create a memory at the old red-bricked post office as you purchase a postcard to take home or send to your friends. Relax at Queen Victoria Park and along the shores of Lake Gregory.

Day 3 Nuwara Eliya ā€“ Bentota

It was once a filming location for David Lean's 1957 Oscar-winning epic "Bridge on the River Kwai," situated on the banks of the Kelani River. Most visitors come for adventure sports, primarily from Colombo. The main attraction in Kitulgala is white water rafting, where you can ride the rapids of the Kelani River. Additionally, it is popular for activities such as confidence jumps, stream sliding, waterfall abseiling, and jungle trekking. Bird watching, cave exploration, and river trips are also available.
- After that, proceed to Bentota.

- Paramotoring is the latest development in ultra-light, foot-launched air sports in Sri Lanka. This exhilarating yet simple way to fly is one of the easiest forms of powered aviation. It is important to note that paramotors are fair-weather machines; flying in strong or gusty winds or adverse weather conditions is not recommended. - Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project
- Dudley Perera's project has been underway since 1988. The main aim of the project is to monitor local sea turtle activity and conserve local nesting sites. We strive to raise public awareness about how endangered these beautiful creatures are and the importance of helping to protect them before it is too late.
- One of the most important activities of the project is its hatchery. Within the sanctuary, collected and rescued eggs can hatch safely away from predators before being released into the sea at night. Additionally, a certain number from each hatching are kept back for a short period for 'headstarting' before release. The hatchery program is designed to maximize the number of hatchlings reaching the sea and surviving through the critical stages of their early life.
