Day 1 Arrival in Sri Lanka | Colombo City Experience

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your personal driver who will assist with your luggage and escort you to your private vehicle. After checking in and taking some time to relax, enjoy an evening Colombo city tour. This tour introduces you to the lively atmosphere of the city with visits to key landmarks such as the Independence Memorial Hall, Gangaramaya Temple, and the scenic Galle Face Green promenade overlooking the Indian Ocean. Meals: Vegan Breakfast and Dinner provided at hotel. Overnight Stay: Colombo.

After breakfast, begin your journey toward the cultural capital of Sri Lanka, Kandy. Your first stop will be at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Continue the journey to Kandy, where you will visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and enjoy a traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance performance. Meals: Vegan Breakfast and Dinner provided at hotel. Overnight Stay: Kandy.

After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Continue your journey into Sri Lanka’s scenic hill country, stopping at a working tea plantation and tea factory. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya in the afternoon. Meals: Vegan Breakfast and Dinner provided at hotel. Overnight Stay: Nuwara Eliya.

After breakfast, enjoy a short city tour of Nuwara Eliya. Later visit the Seetha Amman Temple for a special pooja ceremony . After the ceremony, begin the scenic journey to Bentota. Meals: Vegan Breakfast and Dinner provided at hotel -  Overnight Stay: Bentota.

After breakfast, travel to the historic city of Galle. Explore the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort and visit a Turtle Conservation Project. Return to Bentota in the afternoon. Meals: Vegan Breakfast and Dinner provided at hotel. Overnight Stay: Bentota.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing Madu River boat safari. After the river safari, travel toward Colombo for last-minute shopping. Later, your driver will transfer you to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight. Meals: Vegan Breakfast.

The vehicle provided was very comfortable, our driver Mahesh was English speaking and was very co-operative. Drove very safely. Sumedha and Mahesh together made sure we covered all places of interest. The focus was mainly on places connected to Ramayana. However, we also did safaris and boat rides aside which were great.We being vegetarians, Mahesh chose appropriate restaurants for lunch. Dinner and breakfast provided at the place of stay were very good. On the whole it was a great memorable trip which we hope we will repeat some other time. Thank you Sumedha and Mahesh..
