Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Trichy/Thanjavur - Thanjavur Sightseeing

Upon arrival at Thanjavur, you will visit the Brihadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its magnificent Dravidian architecture.
Next, explore the Thanjavur Royal Palace & Art Gallery, which showcases the rich history of the Chola dynasty and various ancient artifacts.
You will also visit Schwartz Church, a historical landmark that reflects the colonial past of the region.
Later, proceed to Trichy, which is approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Thanjavur.
Upon reaching Trichy, visit Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam, which is the largest functioning Hindu temple in the world.
You will then explore Ucchi Pillayar Temple, also known as Rockfort Temple, which offers panoramic views of the city from its hilltop location.
After the sightseeing tour, check in at your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Thanjavur/Trichy.

Day 2 Trichy/Thanjavur to Madurai

After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed to Madurai, a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage.
Upon arrival, visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple, a stunning example of Dravidian architecture featuring intricately carved gopurams and vibrant sculptures.
Next, explore Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace, a historical marvel that beautifully blends Dravidian and Islamic architectural styles.
You will also visit Alagar Kovil and Pazhamudircholai Temple, two prominent temples located outside the city, known for their spiritual significance and serene surroundings.
After the sightseeing tour, check in at your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Madurai.

Day 3 Madurai to Rameshwaram

After breakfast, embark on a scenic 3.5-hour drive to Rameswaram, a sacred town with immense religious significance.
Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax for a while.
Begin your sightseeing tour with a visit to Ramanathaswamy Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, famous for its long corridor of intricately carved pillars.
You will then visit Agniteertham, a sacred sea bathing spot where devotees perform rituals.
Next, explore the iconic Pamban Bridge, India's first sea bridge, offering breathtaking views of the ocean.
Pay tribute to India’s former President at the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial, which houses exhibits showcasing his life and achievements.
If time permits, visit Dhanushkodi, a fascinating ghost town known as the ‘lost land’ of Rameswaram, offering a unique blend of history and scenic beauty.
After an enriching day, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Rameswaram.

Day 4 Ramwshwaram to Kanyakumari

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and embark on a drive to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India.
Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax.
Begin your sightseeing tour with a visit to Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a spiritual retreat built on a rock island where Swami Vivekananda is believed to have meditated.
Next, visit the Thiruvalluvar Statue, a towering 133-foot statue dedicated to the renowned Tamil poet-saint Thiruvalluvar.
You will also visit Kanyakumari Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Kanya Kumari, which holds great religious importance.
After a fulfilling day of exploration, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Kanyakumari.

Day 5 Kanyakumari to Trivandrum - Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your journey to Trivandrum, which is approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Kanyakumari.
Upon reaching Trivandrum, visit the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, one of the world’s wealthiest temples, known for its exquisite Dravidian architecture and spiritual significance.
After your visit, you will be dropped off at Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

Gm, It's been a wonderful tour to Cochin, Munnar and Alleppy with Travel Corp. Right from the first enquiry, Sankrithi has helped us in every way to guide us to plan our trip. We enjoyed our tour.
