Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative will be waiting with a placard displaying your name. You will be transferred to your designated hotel. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner hosted by Naata Trek and Tours, featuring authentic Nepalese cuisine.

After breakfast, attend a pre-trip meeting with your guide to clarify any queries regarding the trek. The sightseeing tour includes:
  • Boudhanath Stupa – One of the largest Buddhist shrines in the world, where Buddhist monks perform prayers.
  • Pashupatinath Temple – Nepal’s most revered Hindu temple on the banks of the Bagmati River, where you can witness sadhus meditating, pilgrims bathing, and funeral rites taking place.
  • Bhaktapur Durbar Square – A historic complex featuring pagoda-style temples, the Golden Gate, the Palace of Fifty-Five Windows, art galleries, and the Statue of King Bhupatindra Malla.

Depart early for Pokhara, enjoying a scenic drive along the Trishuli River. After lunch, meet the trekking crew and drive towards Mardipul. The trail passes Baglung and Jomsom before following the Seti River. A short hike leads to Mardipul, where you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise view of the Annapurna Himalaya.

Follow the Seti River through small Brahmin and Chhetri villages. Cross the river and head north through Lhachok and Ghachok, with stunning views of terraced farmlands. A gentle climb through a narrowing V-shaped gorge brings us to the Gurung village of Khairapani (Dhipang), where we camp for the night.

Cross the Seti River and visit nearby hot springs before climbing through terraced fields and steep staircases. The trail passes through the Gurung village of Chyaglung before descending to the Sardi Khola for lunch. Afterward, ascend steeply to Kyabrang village and continue uphill to our scenic campsite at Ghale Kharka, offering magnificent views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain).

Trek through a densely forested ridge separating the Seti and Mardi Valleys, passing through oak, rhododendron, and bamboo forests. This trail is ideal for birdwatching. After lunch, ascend to a high ridge before a gentle descent to our campsite at Baradhara.

After breakfast, ascend through lush forests towards Siklis, the largest Gurung village in the Annapurna region. Siklis has a long history of producing soldiers for the British and Indian armies. The village is surrounded by breathtaking views of Lamjung Himal (6,986m), creating a spectacular backdrop. Our campsite is located above the village, offering stunning sunset and sunrise views.

Spend the day exploring Siklis, immersing yourself in Gurung culture and traditional village life. Interact with locals, learn about their customs, and possibly meet retired soldiers.

Descend about 800 meters to the Mardi Khola Valley, following the river downstream. Pass through charming villages and farms before reaching Tabrang Pheding, where we have lunch with spectacular mountain views. A few more hours of walking brings us to our riverside campsite at Lamokhet.

Follow the Mardi Khola downstream, crossing the river before reaching Bhainse for lunch. Gradually ascend through terraced fields to Kalikasthan. The campsite offers breathtaking panoramic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna (8,091m), Manaslu (8,156m), and Himalchuli (7,839m).

Descend through fields before a steep stone staircase leads into a small valley near Rupa Tal (Lake). Walk through rice fields, then ascend a ridge separating Begnas Tal and Rupa Tal, offering stunning views of both lakes. Finally, descend to Begnas Bazaar and drive for 30 minutes to Pokhara, where we stay overnight.

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu along the scenic Trishuli River. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner organized by Naata Trek and Tours as a gesture of appreciation.

Our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your incredible journey.

They were unable to provide us with transportation as they already had prior boo (Read More)kings, so we had to arrange transport through other sources. The resort and hotels were good; however, at the time of booking, they had mentioned that the property in Pokhara would have a swimming pool. In reality, there was no swimming pool, and it was not even a resort but actually a hotel. Nevertheless, the overall stay arrangement was satisfactory.
Except for Siddhartha Riverside, the food at all other hotels and resorts in Nep (Read More)al was not good. They did not even have the basic courtesy to provide drinking water in the room. At the time of check-in, two bottles of water were provided, but the next morning when we asked for a refill, they said refills are only done after 12:00 PM. If we needed water before that, we had to purchase it ourselves. We have traveled extensively around the world, but we have never experienced such dry and unaccommodating behavior anywhere. Refilling drinking water is a very basic courtesy that hotels and resorts should provide.
