Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Jaipur

Arrive in Jaipur, the vibrant Pink City of Rajasthan and the former stronghold of the Rajput rulers. Jaipur is renowned for its magnificent forts, grand palaces and rich cultural heritage. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Amber Fort, situated atop the Aravalli Hills on the outskirts of Jaipur. You can also enjoy an elephant ride at Amber Fort.

Visit the City Palace, a beautiful blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture.

Continue to Hawa Mahal, a five-storey monument with 973 windows and a distinctive semi-octagonal design.

End the city tour with a visit to Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728 and the largest preserved observatory of its kind. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Jodhpur via Pushkar. Visit the Brahma Temple and Pushkar Lake before continuing your journey to Jodhpur. Upon arrival in Jodhpur, check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Jodhpur. Visit Mehrangarh Fort, including Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Silah Khana, Daulat Khana and Rang Mahal. Continue to Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace, built in sandstone. The palace continues to serve as the residence of the former rulers, with a part of it operating as a hotel and another part as a museum. Later, drive towards Jaisalmer. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

After breakfast, proceed for a city tour of Jaisalmer. Visit Gadisar Lake, Jaisalmer Fort and Patwon Ki Haveli, the most elaborate and magnificent of the Jaisalmer havelis, known for its carved pillars, extensive corridors and intricately carved chambers. Also visit the Jain Temples and Salim Singh Ki Haveli. In the afternoon, the day is at leisure or you can take a tour to Sam Sand Dunes and enjoy a camel ride. Overnight stay at a desert camp in Jaisalmer.

After breakfast, proceed towards Udaipur. En route, visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple. Continue your journey to Udaipur and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Udaipur. Visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, the Garden of the Maidens, built in the 18th century. Continue to City Palace, where the main part of the palace has been converted into a museum housing a collection of miniatures, including Krishna Vilas. After that, visit Lok Kala Mandir, a museum featuring a collection of folk dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments and paintings. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for your onward journey.

"Had a wonderful 6-day trip through Rajasthan with Sun Voyages, covering Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. The itinerary covered all the major highlights of each city and was well-paced overall. The hotels, transport, and local arrangements were handled smoothly throughout, making the trip largely stress-free for me and my husband.
it would be great if the timing of visits to each spot could be communicated more clearly to the drivers in advance — for instance, places like Lake Pichola are best experienced in the evening for the sunset views, and having the driver already aware of the ideal time for each location would make the itinerary even smoother for future travelers.

Agent was responsive and helpful since the first call. Helped us execute our plans as we desired.
Driver should have been much more compliant. Hotels are good in infrastructure but maintenance and amenities could be better.

Overall it was definitely a satisfying experience having a tour planned with Sun Voyages. They suggested me an itinerary which I customised according to my choices and schedules and they gave me a perfect schedule that was well in my budget. The driver was quite flexible with schedule and allowed changes to original plan as the travel proceeded. The hotels included in the itinerary were all 3 star (Read More)s and were quite good!
The food in Jaisalmer camp was little disappointing, to which they justified saying it was an off season and couldn’t make the arrangements well.
