After breakfast, visit the International Antarctic Centre and explore the city on your own. Visit the Akaroa Bay Area to visit the Shamarra Alpacas Farm located on the hills overlooking Akaroa Harbour and visit the Historic Akaroa Lighthouse allowing you to walk down to the iconic 1875 wooden lighthouse relocated along the harbor waterfront for scenic photography and harbor views.

After breakfast, drive for two and a half hours along the coast to Kaikoura, a coastal town famous for its whale population. Enjoy a whale watching tour before returning to Christchurch for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, leave for Mount Cook/Twizel. On the way, stop by the Lake Pukaki. Check in to your apartment at Lake Tekapo and take some rest. Afterward, visit the NZ Alpine Lavender.

After an early breakfast, hike the Hooker Valley track, which takes around 3-4 hours. After lunch, board a helicopter from Mt Cook airport for a tour of the Tasman glaciers with a glacier landing. Overnight in your hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Queenstown. Enjoy multiple photo stops and lookouts along the way before reaching Queenstown. In the evening, take the Skyline Gondola to Bob’s Peak for a panoramic view of Queenstown with The Remarkables in the background.

After breakfast, drive to Milford Sound. Explore the length of Milford Sound, learning about the region’s history and encountering waterfalls. If lucky, you may see dolphins, seals, and rarely, penguins. Packed lunch is included. Drive back to Queenstown for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, start your day with a Shotover Jet boat ride on the Shotover River. Then, board the Lake Wakatipu cruise on TSS Earnslaw. Optionally, visit vineyards at Gibbston Valley and the historic gold mining town of Arrowtown.

After breakfast, board your flight from Queenstown to Auckland. Pick up your vehicle at the airport and drive to your hotel in Rotorua. Visit the famous Waitomo glowworm caves and enjoy a boat ride. Check in to your hotel and rest for the day.

After breakfast, head to the Te Puia geothermal preserve to learn about Maori culture while walking through the geothermal valley. In the evening, enjoy an optional cruise on either Lake Rotoiti or Lake Rotorua.

Post breakfast, visit the Redwoods/Whakarewarewa Forest Park for a moderate hike. If you choose the full-day 8-hour circuit, you will cover various forest landscapes and enjoy views of Rotorua, Tikitapu, and Totokakahi.

After breakfast, drive from Rotorua to Auckland via Cathedral Cove. Check in to your city center hotel. In the evening, visit the Sky Tower and the Viaduct Harbour area.

After breakfast, visit the Auckland Museum and the Auckland Art Gallery. Optionally, visit Rangitoto Island or Waiheke Island.
