Day 1 Guwahati to Shillong
- Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station.
- Meet and greet with the driver, then proceed towards Shillong.

Day 2 Shillong to Cherrapunjee via Laitlum Canyon

- If the consumer cancels a booking, the booking amount will not be refunded under any circumstances.
- If the trip is postponed due to a pandemic or any other uncontrollable event, it will be rescheduled to a later date and no refunds will be made.
- GIC reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to unavoidable events, such as weather or political conditions.
- Travelers must carry an original individual identification proof (Aadhaar card, driving license, voter ID or passport) during the journey.
- GIC is not responsible for any man-made or natural calamity.
- All adventure sports are safe and approved by the state ministry, and activities are performed under the guidance of highly trained professionals. However, GIC is not liable for any injury or accident during adventure sports or travel.
- If there are any updates to the booking, the consumer must give prior notice to GIC.
- In case of inappropriate weather or any change in local government norms, the activities mentioned may be rescheduled or canceled without prior notice.
- Any mischief or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. GIC reserves the right to cancel such bookings at any time during the trip without a refund.
- GIC can cancel the trip or an individual booking without prior notice.
- The booking amount is non-refundable.
- Cancellations will not be accepted over phone calls or WhatsApp messages. Please reply to the email containing the payment receipt you received at the time of booking to request a cancellation.
- Free cancellation is available up to 45 days before the departure date (the booking amount remains non-refundable).
- 44 to 30 days before departure: 10% of the total trip cost plus the booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- 29 to 20 days before departure: 25% of the total trip cost plus the booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- 19 to 10 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost plus the booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- 10 to 6 days before departure: 75% of the total trip cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- Fewer than 6 days before departure: 100% of the total trip cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- No show: no refund.
- Note: All reimbursements and refunds will incur a payment gateway charge of 2.5% and GST of 5%. Payment gateway charges will not be levied on customers who made their transactions via UPI.
- The booking amount for all packages and trips is non-refundable. However, a credit note may be issued if the cancellation is made at least 3 days before the departure date, at the discretion of the organization.
- In case of government orders, harsh weather conditions, protests, landslides or any other unforeseen circumstances, we will work out the best possible alternative plans, trips or treks. Even if certain activities are canceled, the organization will provide the best possible alternative, but no refunds will be given.
- If a trip or trek is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity or unforeseen circumstances (such as rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslide, strike or bandh), GIC will issue a refund in the form of GIC Cash and, if possible, will also provide an alternative.
- GIC Cash can be redeemed for the same or another trip or trek within 365 days from the departure date.
- If a trip or trek cannot be completed due to a natural calamity or unforeseen circumstances (such as rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslide, strike or bandh), no refund will be provided.
- Any extra expense incurred due to a natural calamity or unforeseen circumstances (such as rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslide, strike or bandh) will be borne by the customer. The company will not be liable.
- The cancellation policy may differ during the peak season and for popular destinations.

An Amazing Travel Experience with ghumo India community!
This was my second trip organised by the ghumo India community, this time for Jagannath Puri Darshan, and once again, it was an amazing experi (Read More)ence!
What I love most about is their flexibility. They customise the trip according to your budget and preferences, and their team is always just a call away. All you need to do is pack your bags and enjoy your holiday — they take care of everything else! From timely updates and detailed information to customising the itinerary as per your requirements, everything is handled smoothly.
All the arrangements were fantastic, from the hotel to the sightseeing. The hotel was conveniently located near the temple, making our darshan experience even more comfortable.
A special mention to our driver, Shridhar, who was extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. He guided us not just through the routes but also helped us explore local places, shopping spots, and other attractions. He understood our needs and adjusted the itinerary accordingly. Since the weather was very hot and we had covered most of the places we wanted to visit, he suggested taking some rest and heading out in the evening — which made the trip much more enjoyable!
The itinerary covered all the beautiful places we wanted to explore, including Puri’s Golden Beach, Chandrabhaga Beach on the way to Konark, and Chilika Lake. Everything was planned thoughtfully, with enough flexibility to enjoy the trip at our own pace.
From the initial planning to the end of the trip, everything was well managed. Shubham’s support, comfortable arrangements, and willingness to customise the experience made our holiday truly memorable.
