Day 1 Guwahati to Shillong
  • On arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, receive a warm welcome.
  • Drive to Shillong, known as the 'Scotland of the East.'
  • En route, visit Umiam Lake (Barapani), surrounded by scenic Khasi hills. Enjoy the serene beauty and optional boating.
  • Upon arrival in Shillong, check in at the hotel.
  • In the evening, explore the famous Police Bazar.
  • Overnight stay in Shillong.
  • After breakfast, drive towards Cherrapunji, enjoying lush green mountains and waterfalls along the way.
  • En route, visit Shillong Peak for panoramic views and Elephant Falls, known for its unique rock formations.
  • Upon arrival in Cherrapunji, visit Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint, Seven Sisters Falls, and Eco Park.
  • Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
  • Early morning (5 AM), embark on an optional trek to the famous Double Decker Root Bridge, a natural wonder deep in the forests of Meghalaya.
  • The trek involves a 3,000-step descent starting from Tyrna Village (10 km from Cherrapunji) and takes approximately 5-6 hours (both ways).
  • After returning, have lunch and visit Nohkalikai Falls, India’s tallest plunge waterfall.
  • Explore Mawsmai Cave, Nohsngithiang Falls, and Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama.

The accomodations could have been better in few places alone. However it is to be noted that accomodations are booked considering our choice. Value for money. Itenary coverage was good.
