Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Guwahati & Transfer to Shillong

Arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) or the railway station in Guwahati, Assam. Drive to Shillong (approx. 3-4 hours) with a stop at Umiam Lake for scenic views. Check into your hotel in Shillong and explore the local market area, Police Bazaar in the evening. Overnight Stay: Shillong.

After breakfast, explore Shillong. Visit the Don Bosco Museum, the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, and Ward's Lake. In the afternoon, head to Laitlum Canyons for panoramic views. Overnight Stay: Shillong.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Cherrapunji (53 Kms / 2 hours). Stop at Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak en route. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, and Arwah Cave in Cherrapunji. Overnight Stay: Cherrapunji.

Trek down approximately 3,000 steps to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat village. The trek takes 4–6 hours round trip. Optional trek to Rainbow Falls if time permits. Overnight Stay: Cherrapunji.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Mawlynnong, known as 'Asia's Cleanest Village'. Check into your hotel in Dawki. Enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River. Overnight Stay: Dawki.

After breakfast, drive back to Guwahati for your departure. Optional visit to Kamakhya Temple if time allows.
