  • The drive itself is one of the major highlights of the journey, offering breathtaking views throughout the route.

After an early breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your scenic journey towards Alleppey, famously known as the “Venice of the East” and renowned for its enchanting backwaters, coconut lagoons, and traditional houseboat experiences.The drive takes approximately 4–5 hours, gradually transitioning from the misty hills of Thekkady to the serene coastal landscapes and lush green backwater regions of Kerala. To ensure a comfortable and timely check-in to the houseboat, it is recommended to start the journey by around 8:00 AM.Upon arrival in Alleppey, board your traditional Kerala Alleppey Houseboat between 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM and begin a truly relaxing backwater cruise through narrow canals, peaceful villages, swaying coconut groves, paddy fields, and calm lagoons.During the cruise, the houseboat halts for lunch for approximately one hour before continuing the scenic journey till evening.
