Day 1 Srinagar Sightseeing & Stay
- Pick up from Srinagar Airport and proceed to your houseboat for check-in.
- Enjoy local sightseeing around Srinagar, including a visit to Shankaracharya Temple, located on a hilltop overlooking Dal Lake.
- Continue to Cheshma Shahi, a Mughal spring garden.
- Visit Nishat Garden, known as the 'Garden of Pleasure', built in 1633 by Mughal King Asif Khan.
- Depending on the season, you may also visit the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden.
- Other points of interest include Pari Mahal and Dal Lake.
- Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, lies on the banks of the Jhelum River and is renowned for its natural beauty, Mughal gardens, houseboats, traditional Kashmiri handicrafts, and dry fruits.
- An overnight stay will be arranged in a houseboat.
Day 2 Srinagar – Gulmarg – Stay / Day Trip
- After breakfast, depart for Gulmarg, also known as the "Meadow of Flowers."
- This scenic town was discovered by a Kashmiri poet in the 16th century and is famous for its grassy slopes and wildflowers.
- Upon reaching Gulmarg, the vehicle will stop at the parking area or hotel, as outside vehicles are not allowed for inner sightseeing.
- Further exploration within Gulmarg can be done by walking or on a horse ride, at your own expense.
- In winter, Gulmarg becomes a premier ski resort, offering one of the best ski slopes in the world and is home to the highest 18-hole golf course.
- You may enjoy a gondola ride from Gulmarg to Kongdori (Phase 1) and from Kongdori to Afarwat (Phase 2), also at your own expense.
- Spend your evening at leisure and return to Srinagar or stay overnight in Gulmarg.
Day 3 Srinagar - Pahalgam
- After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, the "Valley of Shepherds."
- En route, stop for sightseeing at:
- Awantipura Ruins
- The picturesque saffron fields
- The cricket bat factories
- Pahalgam is a renowned filming location for the Indian movie industry.
- During your stay, you may choose to visit:
- Betaab Valley, located 15 kilometers from Pahalgam, named after the hit film Betaab. This valley is surrounded by lush meadows and snow-clad mountains.
- Aru Valley, a small and picturesque village located 12 kilometers from Pahalgam.
- Chandanwari, situated 16 kilometers from town and known as the starting point for the annual Amarnath Yatra.
- Please note that local taxis must be hired to visit these places, and expenses are not included.
- After sightseeing, return to your hotel.
- The evening is free at leisure, followed by an overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 4 Doodhpathri - The Valley of Milk
- After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Doodhpathri, known as the "Valley of Milk."
- Located at an altitude of 2,730 meters in the Budgam district, this vast meadow is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and lush deodar and pine forests.
- It is situated on the banks of the Shaliganga River and adorned with a variety of colorful flowers, such as daisies and buttercups.
- The water flowing through the meadow appears milky from a distance, giving the valley its name.
- According to legend, the revered saint Sheikh-ul-Alam prayed here and found milk instead of water.
- Upon his instruction, the milk turned into water, and the area came to be known as Doodhpathri.
- The untouched natural beauty and tranquil surroundings make it a peaceful retreat.
- You may optionally visit Yusmarg, which is approximately 47 kilometers from Srinagar.
- Known for its grassy pastures, dense pine forests, and stunning snow-capped backdrop, Yusmarg is a perfect destination for leisurely walks and picnics.
- Return to Srinagar in the evening for an overnight stay.
