Day 1 Jaisalmer – Sam Sand Dunes Desert Camp

After breakfast, visit Gadisar Lake and then proceed towards the famous Sam Sand Dunes in the Thar Desert. In the evening, enjoy a camel safari, experience the golden sunset over the sand dunes, and later indulge in Rajasthani folk music, dance, and a traditional dinner at a desert camp. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer desert camp.

Begin your day with a visit to the majestic Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Quila), still a living fort with families residing inside. Explore intricately carved Patwon ki Haveli, Nathmal ki Haveli, and the beautiful Salim Singh ki Haveli. Walk through the colorful local markets and enjoy the golden sandstone charm of the city. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Start from Jaisalmer early morning and drive towards Tanot Mata Temple, reaching around 8 AM for a short visit. From there, continue to Longewala War Memorial to watch the war documentary and explore the historic battlefield. After completing both attractions, begin your journey towards Jodhpur via Pokhran. Stop for lunch on the way and enjoy the desert and highway views. The overall trip takes the whole day, and you will reach Jodhpur by evening around 6:30–7 PM.

Arrive in Jodhpur and check in to your hotel. Begin your day with a visit to the Mehrangarh Fort , Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum. Later, explore Toorji Ka Jhalra (stepwell) and relax at one of the rooftop cafés offering fort views. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for your onward journey with vibrant memories of desert beauty and royal architecture.

We had a wonderful Rajasthan trip organised by Sun Voyages, especially thanks to (Read More) Sanjay, who planned our itinerary very well. We enjoyed every destination and made beautiful memories as a family with our child. Our driver was also polite, well-behaved and helpful throughout the journey. One of the highlights was the cultural show in Jaisalmer. Although it was the off-season, the performers arranged a wonderful dance and music programme just for us, which made the experience extra special. We would also like to appreciate Sanjay for handling a situation at our last hotel in Udaipur, where a hotel staff member demanded additional cash. Sanjay managed the situation very well and supported us, which we truly appreciated. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would definitely recommend Sun Voyages, especially Sanjay, to our family and friends.
Our main suggestion is regarding hotel selection. Four of the five hotels were s (Read More)atisfactory, but one hotel could have been in better condition. Although the hotel staff were generally polite and well-behaved, we would appreciate more care being taken to select hotels with better maintenance, cleanliness and facilities. Improving the selection of that particular hotel would have made our overall experience even better.
