Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival NJP / IXB – Gangtok
Upon arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB), meet our local representative for assistance.
Transfer to Gangtok (5412 Ft / 1650Mts), a scenic 130 km drive taking approximately 4-5 hours.
Check in at the hotel upon arrival.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 2 Gangtok – Excursion to Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to:
Tshangu Lake (12,400 Ft / 3780 Mts) – A glacial lake known for its serene beauty, located 43 km from Gangtok (approx. 2-hour drive one way).
New Baba Mandir (13,100 Ft / 3994 Mts) – Situated 18 km further from Tshangu Lake (approx. 1-hour drive).
Return to Gangtok by evening.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.
Important Notes: Documents Required for Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir:
Two passport-size photographs per traveler.
Photocopy of a valid photo ID (Passport, Driving License, or Voter ID). Aadhaar Card and PAN Card are not accepted.
For children below 18 years, School or College ID is required. Originals must be carried during travel.
If the visit to Tshangu Lake is not possible due to landslides or unforeseen reasons, an alternative sightseeing tour will be provided. Foreign nationals, OCI, and PIO cardholders require a separate process for permits; prior intimation is necessary.
Day 3 Gangtok – Darjeeling
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Darjeeling (6710 Ft / 2046 Mts).
Enjoy the picturesque 110 km journey, taking approximately 4-5 hours.
On arrival, check in at the hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.
Optional: Teesta River Rafting at Melli (available at an additional cost).
Day 4 Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning at around 4:00 AM, subject to clear weather, visit Tiger Hill (8482 Ft / 2586 Mts) to witness the sunrise over the mighty Kanchenjunga Peak, the third-highest peak in the world.
Return to the hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Darjeeling.
Visit the Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda, which offer a serene environment and panoramic views.
Explore the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, which remain closed on Thursdays, local festivals, and state and national government holidays.
Stop by Tenzing and Gombu Rock, which are popular sites for rock climbing enthusiasts.
Visit the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center, which remains closed on Sundays, local festivals, and state and national government holidays.
Enjoy a panoramic tour of a Tea Estate, witnessing the scenic tea gardens that Darjeeling is famous for.
Return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.
Tiger Hill visit is subject to the availability of coupons, as only 600 vehicles are allowed in the morning. In case coupons are unavailable, the visit will be arranged after breakfast.
Optional: Joy Train Ride (at additional cost).
Day 5 Darjeeling - NJP / IXB
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
Enjoy a scenic 100 km drive, which takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.
If time permits and opted for, take a detour via Mirik Lake (4905 Ft / 1495 Mts) to experience its tranquil surroundings and picturesque views.
Arrive at NJP / IXB and board your onward train or flight.

Other Details
Indian nationals traveling to Sikkim and Darjeeling must carry the required documents for Nathula, Baba Mandir, and Tshangu Lake permits.
Each traveler must provide six passport-size photographs with their name, age, and gender written on the back.
Travelers must carry both the original and a photocopy of a valid ID such as a Passport, Election ID, or Driving License, as Aadhaar and PAN Cards are not accepted for the Sikkim Restricted Area Permit (RAP).
Children below 18 years must carry a School or College ID along with an English version of their Birth Certificate.
Foreign nationals must carry both their Passport and OCI/PIO card in original for verification.
Any amendments after booking will be treated as a cancellation and will be subject to cancellation charges.
Minor amendments can be made with an additional fee of INR 5000, along with any actual charges incurred.
A 40% advance payment is required to confirm the booking, and no bookings will be processed without advance payment.
A 30% payment must be made upon receiving the confirmation voucher.
The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival.
Payments made via credit card will incur an additional 3% surcharge.
Arrival details, including train or flight numbers, must be shared in advance to facilitate proper scheduling.

Followup by tour operator was good. Hotel accommodation was also good and comfortable
Did not provide vehicle as promised but charged for the same extra for Nathula pass which caused lot of discomfort to us since all 4 of us are senior citizens . On other days
vehicles provided were in good condition and no issue with them

Please do not use this company. They are very careless and their cab service is terrible. The drivers are very very irresponsible. They will never reach in time. They will leave you in remote location (Read More)s without any pickup arrangements. If you are traveling with children or senior citizens, then please do not use Ask Adventure. It will be.a big mistake and you will regret it.

We had a memorable trip to Bhutan. Our tour guide and driver were very cooperative and nice. All the travel arrangement done by my school friend Ashis Gupta owner of Ask Adventure Tours and his team (Read More)was great as well. I highly recommend the team! They never disappoint us.

At the outset let me thank Mr Shubham Gupta of Ask Adventures for planning and executing the wonderful Bhutan tour .
We reached Bagdogra Airport on 22nd Nov 2022. We were offered a grand welcome by M (Read More)r Shubham.
On way to Jaigaon we enjoyed the scenic beauty of Bengal.
Spent the evening at Jaigaon.
23rd Nov the real tour of Bhutan started.
The vehicle ....Toyota Hiace was waiting for us. The tour guide was Mr Kinley..who not only was our guide but thought to be our own family member. He has thorough knowledge of the historical monuments in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
During our tour we visited Monasteries , mountains, Palaces and needless to mention " the sacred Tiger Nest.
The places we visited were mainly Thimphu, Punakha and Paro.
Bhutan is the best place to live with. People are courteous, soft spoken and always willing to help.
All the hotels were excellent .
The food quality was exceptionally good. We relished the Vegetarian Bhutanese food.
We have really enjoyed our 10 days trip to Bhutan planned and executed very well by Mr Shubham Gupta of Ask Adventures.
He and his team deserves our best wishes for his future endeavors.

We had a family vacation to Sikkim arranged by Ask Adventure Tours in November 2022. Visited Pelling, Gangtok, Lachung & Darjeeling. We had excellent time and arrangements were also very well done. H (Read More)otel and staff were fully vaccinated and taking proper care for social distancing.
Car arranged was also good, clean and driver was very experienced & courteous. Will definitely recommend to near and dear ones.
