Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Delhi - Shimla
  • On arrival at Delhi Airport/Railway Station, you will be met, assisted, and driven to Shimla. The journey takes around 9-10 hours by road.
  • A century ago, the British selected Shimla as their summer capital, using it as a retreat from the scorching heat of the plains. Known as the “abode of the high and mighty,” it sits at 2,154 meters with the snow-capped Himalayas as a backdrop, featuring beautiful promenades, graceful colonial buildings, wooded ravines, and evergreen forests.
  • On arrival, check in to the hotel and rest.
  • After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to the lush green valleys of Fagu and Kufri. (Optional: Visit Kufri Adventure Resort—guests can enjoy various rides & activities at their own cost.)
  • Explore Kufri Winter Sports Capital, Indira Bungalow, and the Himalayan Zoo.
  • Post lunch, drive back to town and visit:
    • Indian Institute of Advanced Study (formerly Vice Regal Lodge, closed on Mondays).
    • Christ Church, Jakhu Temple (via ropeway).
    • Gaiety Theatre, Scandal Point, Lakkar Bazaar, Mall Road, and The Ridge.
  • After breakfast, drive to Manali, an 8-9 hour journey.
  • Manali, named after the Hindu lawgiver Manu, is said to be the place where he recreated human life after a great flood. It is located in the North of Kullu Valley, often referred to as the 'Valley of the Gods.'
  • En route, pass by Sunder Nagar Lake, Pandoh Dam, Beas River, Sutlej River, Hanoi Mata Temple, and Kullu Valley.
  • On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.
  • Overnight stay in Manali.
  • After breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Solang Valley, a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund, offering breathtaking views of glaciers and snow-capped peaks.
  • Adventure activities available at extra cost:
    • Cable Car Ropeway, Amateur Skiing, Snow Scooter, Zorbing, Paragliding, River Rafting.
  • Later, visit Vashisht Hot Water Springs & Temple, Hidimba Temple, Manu Temple, and Tibetan Monastery.
  • In the evening, explore Manali Mall Road before returning to the hotel.
  • After breakfast, drive to Dharamshala (7-8 hours).
  • Dharamshala, meaning "a spiritual dwelling," gained international recognition in 1959 when the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government in Exile settled here. The town has a distinct Tibetan character, offering a unique experience in India.
  • On arrival, check in to the hotel and rest.
  • Overnight stay in Dharamshala.
  • After breakfast, explore Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj.
  • Visit, His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Monastery – A simple exterior hides beautifully carved interiors, murals, and Buddhist artifacts, and St. John’s Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple & Waterfall, Naddi, Dal Lake, Dharamshala Cricket Stadium, War Memorial, and Mall Road at McLeod Ganj.
  • After breakfast, drive to Dalhousie (3-4 hours).
  • Dalhousie, located in Chamba district at over 6,400 feet, is known for its Hindu temples, British architecture, handicrafts, and stunning landscapes. It is often called ‘Mini Switzerland’ of India.
  • On arrival, check in to the hotel and later visit St. Francis’ Church.
  • Overnight stay in Dalhousie.
  • After breakfast, check out and visit:
  • Kalatope Wildlife Sanctuary.
  • Khajjiar – Known as "Mini Switzerland," with lush meadows, cedar forests, and Khajji Nag Temple (12th century, dedicated to a serpent god).
  • In the afternoon, drive to Amritsar (4-5 hours).
  • On arrival, check in to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Amritsar.
  • After breakfast, visit:
    • Golden Temple (Sri Harmandir Sahib): A sacred Sikh shrine symbolizing brotherhood and equality.
    • Jallianwala Bagh: A national memorial remembering the tragic 1919 massacre.
    • Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum: Showcasing royal heritage, weapons, paintings, and manuscripts.
    • Wagah Border: Witness the Beating Retreat Ceremony, a spectacular military display between India and Pakistan.
  • Return to the hotel by evening.
  • Overnight stay in Amritsar.
  • After breakfast, check out and drive back to Delhi (8-9 hours).
  • Drop at Delhi Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.
