Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Delhi
  • Arrive in Delhi and transfer to your hotel.
  • Delhi is India's capital and a major gateway to the country.
  • Contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis that successfully combines the ancient with the modern.
  • Amidst fast-spiraling skyscrapers, remnants of a bygone era, in the form of many monuments, stand as silent reminders of the region?s ancient legacy.
  • First impressions for any visitor arriving from the airport include a spacious, garden city lined with trees and beautiful parks.
  • Evening is free for personal exploration or shopping in the colorful and bustling bazaars.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • After breakfast, proceed for a tour of Old and New Delhi.
  • Visit the Jama Masjid, the principal mosque of Old Delhi in India.
  • Later, visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, was cremated.
  • Drive past the Red Fort (from outside), the palace for Shah Jahan?s new capital, Shahjahanabad, the seventh Muslim city in the Delhi site.
  • The tour of Imperial Delhi will start with a visit to the Qutub Minar, the tallest stone tower in India.
  • The Qutub Minar is still the highest stone tower and one of the finest Islamic structures ever built in India.
  • Later, visit Humayun?s Tomb, built by the widow of the second Mughal Emperor, Humayun; it is an outstanding monument in the Indo-Persian style and a precursor to the Taj Mahal.
  • Drive past the imposing India Gate, the Parliament building, and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President?s residence.
  • The evening is free for personal exploration or shopping in the colorful and bustling bazaars.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • After breakfast, drive to Agra.
  • Arrive in Agra and transfer to your hotel.
  • Later, visit the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays). The Taj Mahal is everything that has been said about it and more. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal in the mid-17th century, the Taj Mahal is truly one of the wonders of the world.
  • Next, visit the Agra Fort, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture. The Agra Fort was the seat and stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. This was the center of Mughal rule. Shah Jahan added the impressive quarters and the mosque, while Aurangzeb added the outer ramparts. Visit its Hall of Public Audience and its Royal Pavilions. In addition to the historical monuments, one can also explore Agra?s rich heritage of handicrafts in its markets.
  • Also visit Itmad ud Daula. This tomb was built in 1622 for Ghiyas Beg, the father of Empress Noor Jahan, the wife of Emperor Jahangir. It is beautifully conceived in white marble, mosaic, and lattice, and it set a precedent as the first Mughal building to be faced with white marble inlaid with contrasting stones. Sometimes referred to as the ?Baby Taj?, it is small, intimate, and has a gentle serenity.
  • The evening is free to walk around in the colorful and bustling bazaars for personal exploration or shopping.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • After breakfast, proceed to drive to Jaipur, visiting Fatehpur Sikri en route. The deserted red sandstone city was built by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the late 16th century. Later, drive to Jaipur; arrive in Jaipur and transfer to the hotel.
  • The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, is popularly known as the ?Pink City? because pink sandstone was used to construct the buildings in the old walled city. Jaipur owes its name, foundation, and planning to the Great Warrior-Astronomer Maharaja Jai Singh II (1699?1744 AD). Jaipur, the City of Victory, was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727. It is the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the Universe through nine rectangular sectors that subdivide it. The architect who formalized the city?s plans based on the Shilpa Shastra, the epic Hindu treatise on architecture, blended it with the sublimity of Mughal and Jain influences of that time. The city was painted pink in 1853 in honor of the visit by Prince Albert. Except for the busy traffic of bicycles, cars, and buses, little seems to have changed.
  • The evening is free to walk around in the colorful and bustling bazaars for personal exploration or shopping. Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • After breakfast, proceed for a full-day city tour of Jaipur.
  • Visit Amer Fort, located 11 kilometers from Jaipur, which was the old fort of the Kachhwaha clan of Amber.
  • The fort is a beautiful sight, especially with its clear reflection on the lake in front, making it seem like a dream or a beautiful illusion.
  • An elephant (subject to availability, alternatively by jeep) will spare you the trouble of climbing up to the fortress.
  • Once on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls with a well-informed and articulate guide who will regale you with tales of yore.
  • Later, visit the City Palace of Jaipur, one of the highlights of the city tour.
  • Walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar, or Astronomical Observatory, built by the Maharaja of Jaipur in 1726, which is one of five such astronomical wonders created by Sawai Jai Singh and still makes accurate predictions today.
  • Jaipur is a shopper?s paradise, with most bazaars located in the old city offering a wide range of items to buy, from jewelry (precious and semi-precious stones and handcrafted silver) to textiles, handicrafts, and antiques.
  • For avid shoppers, Jaipur is the ideal city to shop and collect memorabilia.
  • The evening is free for personal exploration or shopping in the colorful and bustling bazaars.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • Today, transfer to Jaipur Airport or Railway Station to board your flight or train for your onward journey to your next destination.

We recently completed the Golden Triangle tour and had a fantastic experience. T (Read More)he highlight of our trip was the impeccable planning by Mr. Narendra; everything was organized to perfection, allowing us to visit all the major sites with ease. Our drivers deserve a special mention—they were incredibly patient and attentive to our needs. Most importantly, they prioritized our safety, navigating through zero-visibility fog with total professionalism. The trip itself is a must-do. From the Red Fort and Taj Mahal to Fatehpur Sikri and the stunning forts in Jaipur and Ajmer, every location was breathtaking. The travel between cities was very comfortable as the majority of the route stays on well-maintained highways. Highly recommended!
Nothing much.. just the Lunch places to be changed in the trip , as most of thos (Read More)e locations are very over priced.

I’m had originally planned to drive a package tour but was referred to Offbeat I (Read More)ndia Tours via Holidify. Prakash and the team worked with me to develop a personalised itinerary including car transport, hotels and tour guides across 16 days which we were able to iterate until we designed do the perfect itinerary. Importantly the final price including 5 Star accommodation was incredibly competitive and significantly below the price of similar itineraries with larger group tour operators. In addition we had a driver, Monu , who was absolutely exceptional and made each days drive between each of our destinations both safe, engaging and enjoyable Definitely an Agency to place high on your list
