Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
Your Kathmandu–Pokhara–Chitwan Tour begins with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. Upon arrival, our office representative will meet you at the arrival section holding a placard with your name. After a brief introduction, you will be transferred to your hotel. After settling in, the rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore the local area. Take a leisurely stroll through the lively streets of Kathmandu and discover its colourful markets, traditional eateries, and local cafés serving authentic Nepali cuisine.
Overnight in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, your journey continues to the picturesque city of Pokhara. The drive offers scenic views of lush terraced fields, charming villages, and the winding rivers of Trishuli and Narayani. If you choose the flight option, you'll enjoy an aerial perspective of Nepal's diverse topography. Once in Pokhara, be prepared to be amazed by the stunning vistas of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) and the tranquil Phewa Lake. After check-in at your hotel, you can either relax or head out to explore the vibrant Lakeside area, known for its café culture and beautiful lakefront views.
Overnight in Pokhara.
Option: Flight transfer available
Duration: Approx. 6 hours by drive | 30 minutes by flight
Your day begins early with a sunrise drive to Sarangkot, one of the most iconic viewpoints in Nepal. Watch the golden morning light touch the snowy peaks of the Annapurna range and Macchapuchhre. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, the Pokhara city tour begins. Visit the World Peace Pagoda perched on a hilltop, explore the unique underground tunnel of Davis Falls, and walk through the sacred Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. You'll also see Seti Gorge, a dramatic river-cut chasm. Adventure lovers can optionally include activities like paragliding, ultralight flights, bungee jumping, or boating. As the day ends, enjoy another walk around Phewa Lake before calling it a night.
Overnight in Pokhara.
After breakfast, your journey continues to Chitwan, located in the Terai plains. You can either enjoy the scenic drive, passing through rural landscapes and river valleys, or opt for a quick domestic flight (at extra cost). Once you arrive in Chitwan, check in to your hotel or resort. Spend the afternoon visiting a nearby Tharu village to learn about the local indigenous culture or unwind by the Rapti River, enjoying local cuisine amidst lush greenery.
Overnight in Chitwan.
Today is all about adventure and wildlife. After breakfast, head out for an exciting day in Chitwan National Park. The park is home to 600+ species of birds, over 60 species of mammals, and a rich array of reptiles and plants. Your activities will include a jungle safari to spot rhinos, crocodiles, and deer, and possibly the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. You can also enjoy canoeing on the Rapti River and, optionally, experience an elephant-back safari. After returning to your resort, enjoy a cultural dance performance by the Tharu community in the evening.
Overnight in Chitwan.
After breakfast, you'll head back to Kathmandu via road or a short flight. The drive showcases a beautiful transition from the flat plains of Terai to the hilly landscapes of the Kathmandu Valley. Upon arrival, you'll check in to your hotel and have the evening at leisure to shop for souvenirs at local markets like Asan or visit the cafes and eateries in the bustling Thamel district.
Overnight in Kathmandu.
Begin the day with either a sunrise excursion to Nagarkot or an optional mountain flight (at additional cost). Nagarkot offers panoramic sunrise views over the Himalayas, while the mountain flight provides an awe-inspiring aerial tour of Mount Everest and its neighbouring peaks. Later, you’ll visit key heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley. Explore Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) with its iconic eyes and sweeping city views. Then choose between Kathmandu Durbar Square or Patan Durbar Square to discover palaces, courtyards, and centuries-old architecture. Visit Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of the Bagmati River and witness powerful Hindu rituals. Conclude the day with a visit to the grand Boudhanath Stupa, where you can relax at rooftop cafés overlooking the prayer wheels and colourful prayer flags.
Overnight in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. As your Golden Triangle Nepal Tour comes to an end, we hope you take back unforgettable memories of the culture, beauty, and warmth that Nepal offers.

They were unable to provide us with transportation as they already had prior boo (Read More)kings, so we had to arrange transport through other sources. The resort and hotels were good; however, at the time of booking, they had mentioned that the property in Pokhara would have a swimming pool. In reality, there was no swimming pool, and it was not even a resort but actually a hotel. Nevertheless, the overall stay arrangement was satisfactory.
Except for Siddhartha Riverside, the food at all other hotels and resorts in Nep (Read More)al was not good. They did not even have the basic courtesy to provide drinking water in the room. At the time of check-in, two bottles of water were provided, but the next morning when we asked for a refill, they said refills are only done after 12:00 PM. If we needed water before that, we had to purchase it ourselves. We have traveled extensively around the world, but we have never experienced such dry and unaccommodating behavior anywhere. Refilling drinking water is a very basic courtesy that hotels and resorts should provide.

I had an amazing experience with Holyland Adventure Tours and Travels during my (Read More)7 days / 6 nights trip to Nepal. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The itinerary covered beautiful places including Kathmandu temples, Chandragiri Hill, Bhaktapur, Nagarkot (sunrise & sunset), Pokhara, and adventure activities like paragliding and ziplining, along with the Sarangkot sunrise. Every destination was well planned and executed smoothly. Hotels, transportation, and overall arrangements were excellent. A special thanks to Arith, the manager and tour organizer, who was extremely supportive and took care of every detail. Even after the trip ended, he personally followed up to ensure we reached safely, which truly shows their professionalism and care. Our guide Bijay, appointed by Holyland, was outstanding—very friendly, knowledgeable, supportive, and an excellent driver, especially on hill routes. He made the journey comfortable and enjoyable throughout. Overall, the trip was stress-free, memorable, and perfectly managed. I highly recommend Holyland Adventure Tours and Travels to anyone planning to visit Nepal. Truly a trustworthy and professional travel company!
