The drive to Lumbini runs via the Siddhartha Highway through the hill towns of the Tansen/Palpa region, one of the more scenic road stretches of the trip. In Lumbini, you'll visit the World Peace Pagoda and the Central Canal area, arriving at the birthplace of the Buddha.
Before leaving Lumbini, visit Maya Devi Temple (marking the exact birthplace of the Buddha), the Ashoka Pillar, and the International Monastic Zone. After arriving in Chitwan, enjoy a Rapti River sunset, a Tharu village walk, and an evening Tharu Cultural Stick Dance performance.
The wildlife centerpiece of the trip. Morning bird watching and a canoe ride are followed by a jeep safari inside Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the chance to spot one-horned rhinoceros, deer, crocodiles, and other wildlife.
The final morning begins with breakfast at your hotel in Chitwan. After breakfast, complete your checkout and conclude the organized 4-day Pokhara, Lumbini, and Chitwan tour.
