Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Bagdogra – Phuentsholing
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and proceed with a 4–5 hour scenic drive to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan. Upon arrival, complete immigration formalities at the Bhutan border. In the evening, visit Zangto Pelri Lhakhang and explore the vibrant local markets. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Start early for a 5–6 hour drive to Thimphu through beautiful mountain landscapes. En route, visit Kharbandi Gompa for panoramic views. Upon arrival in Thimphu, check into the hotel and begin exploring the city. Visit Tashichho Dzong, a fortress and monastery, the majestic Buddha Dordenma Statue, and the National Memorial Chorten. Spend the evening at Clock Tower Square. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Depart for Punakha, stopping en route at the iconic Dochula Pass with its 108 chortens and sweeping Himalayan views. In Punakha, explore the stunning Punakha Dzong located at the confluence of two rivers and the fertility temple, Chimi Lhakhang. Overnight stay in Punakha.
Drive to Paro (4–5 hours) with stops at the Punakha Suspension Bridge and Simtokha Dzong, Bhutan’s oldest fortress. In Paro, visit the Rinpung Dzong and stroll through the quaint Paro town. Enjoy free time at local cafés and handicraft stores. Overnight stay in Paro.
Embark on an early morning trek to the breathtaking Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), Bhutan’s most iconic site. Later, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in the country. End your day with an optional traditional hot stone bath. Overnight stay in Paro.
Drive from Paro back to Phuentsholing (4–5 hours) and continue your onward journey to Bagdogra Airport for departure.
