Day 1 Bagdogra - Phuentsholing
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, you'll be warmly received and assisted with your transfer to Phuentsholing—the gateway to Bhutan. Enjoy a scenic drive through lush landscapes as you approach the Bhutanese border. Once in Phuentsholing, check into your hotel and relax for the night. Overnight in Phuentsholing.
Day 2 Phuentsholing - Thimphu
After breakfast and permit formalities, begin your journey toward Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu. En route, visit Kharbandi Gumba and Milerapa Lhakhang, followed by a drive through the mountain town of Gedu (9,000 ft), offering spectacular vistas. Pause at the picturesque Wankha Waterfalls for a photo opportunity. On reaching Thimphu, check in at your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 3 Thimphu - Punakha and Back
Begin your day with a drive to Dochula Pass (3,150 m), offering panoramic views of the Himalayas. Continue to Punakha, where you’ll visit the revered Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple) and the majestic Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. If accessible, enjoy a peaceful walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Return to Thimphu in the evening.

Day 4 Thimphu Sightseeing & Transfer to Paro
After breakfast, dive into Thimphu’s cultural treasures. Explore the National Library, Simply Bhutan Museum, Memorial Chorten, and the grand Buddha Dordenma. Visit the Takin Reserve, Zorig Chusum School of Arts, and the Tashichho Dzong, home to Bhutan’s royal and government offices. Later, enjoy a scenic drive to Paro, passing through Chuzom (river confluence) and stopping by Tachogang Temple. Overnight in Paro.
Day 5 Discovering Paro – Heritage, Views & Sacred Sites
Start with a visit to the ancient Nya Mey Zam Bridge, then continue to the stunning Rinpung Dzong. Explore Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, and enjoy panoramic views of Paro International Airport. Visit the National Museum to dive deeper into Bhutan’s heritage and admire the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery from a viewpoint. End the day by the peaceful Paro River and the historic Iron Bridge (Tamchu). Overnight in Paro.
Day 6 Return to Phuentsholing
After breakfast, begin the drive back to Phuentsholing, passing through verdant valleys and picturesque villages. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and rest after the journey. Overnight in Phuentsholing.
Day 7 Departure – Phuentsholing to Bagdogra
Bid farewell to the Land of the Thunder Dragon as you journey back to Bagdogra. Reflect on the spiritual serenity, rich culture, and unforgettable landscapes as your Bhutan adventure comes to a close. Tour ends.

A special mention to our guide, Sangay Nidup, and our driver, Amber, who made the journey even more memorable. They were knowledgeable, patient, and always ensured our comfort. We didn’t just visit places — we experienced the culture, food, and hidden gems of Bhutan.
Our package included three hikes in Thimpu, Phobijika valley and Paro. Our guide, Sangay made all hikes very enjoyable and informative sharing his past experiences. He also gave suggestions for shopping in Thimpu/Paro and took us to the local markets and helped us experience the local lifestyle. He was very helpful in taking photos during the trip.
The highlight of the trip was the hike to Tiger’s Nest — challenging, but absolutely worth it. The views and the entire experience were simply magical.
