Visit the colorful Flower Show, the Handicraft Centre, the Institute of Tibetology (home to rare manuscripts), and the peaceful Do Drul Chorten stupa.

Post breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to the stunning Changu (Tsomgo) Lake, located 35 km from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. This glacial lake, fed by melting snow, changes colors and holds deep spiritual significance. As per local legends, Buddhist lamas used to study the lake’s waters to predict the future. Continue your trip to New Baba Mandir, a revered shrine built in memory of an Indian army soldier.

After breakfast, drive to Kalimpong, a peaceful hill station perched at 1250 meters. Once a bustling wool trade center with Tibet, Kalimpong is now a laid-back retreat known for its orchids, gladiolus flowers, and British colonial influences. The town has an interesting history—it was once ruled by the Sikkimese and then by Bhutan before becoming part of British India after the Anglo-Bhutan war.
In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour of Kalimpong, visiting Mangal Dham—a beautiful temple complex, Durpin Hill which offers panoramic views of the Teesta River, and several colorful flower nurseries for which the town is famous.
