Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Bangalore to Coorg (4hrs hrs,30 Min 266 km)

Start from Bangalore and drive to Coorg.
Check in at the hotel.
In the afternoon, take a sightseeing tour of Madikeri and visit Omkareshwara Temple, which features a unique blend of Catholic, Gothic, and Islamic architecture.
Drive to Abbey Falls, located about 7 km from Madikeri.
Visit Madikeri Fort and Gaddige, also known as Raja's Tomb.
Culminate your trip with a visit to Raja's Seat in Mercara, a garden of seasonal flowers that was a favorite of the Kings of Kodagu.
If time permits, enjoy a breathtaking sunset.
Return to the hotel in the late evening.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 Kushalnagar Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit the Golden Temple and the Buddhist settlement at Bylekuppe.
Thereafter, visit Kaveri Nisargadhama, a small island formed by the split of the Kaveri River.
Explore the Ecological Park, a deer park, a small snack house, and facilities for boating.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 Coorg to Wayanad (2 hrs 30 min, 105 km)

After breakfast, drive to Wayanad.
Arrive and check in at the hotel.
Start sightseeing and visit the Wayanad Wildlife and Muthanga sanctuaries, which offer sightings of free-ranging wildlife, including herds of elephants, gaurs, deer, wild cats, and many species of reptiles, fish, butterflies, and birds.
Next, visit Sulthan Bathery, an artillery battery used by Tipu Sultan.
In the evening, drive to Sunrise Valley to witness a spectacular sunset.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Wayanad Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed to sightseeing at Pookode Lake, a scenic freshwater lake.
Visit Lakkidi, which receives the second highest rainfall in India.
Thereafter, visit Soochipara Falls.
End the day with a visit to Chembra Peak.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Depart From Wayanad

Enjoy a splendid breakfast at your hotel.
After checkout, proceed to sightseeing.

We had an unforgettable family vacation from Hyderabad to Wayanad and Coorg, all thanks to Ramesh from Graceland who meticulously planned everything—from itinerary and flight bookings to cab arrangeme (Read More)nts. Our stay at Sanihara Resort in Wayanad was made extra special with a surprise birthday celebration for my wife, beautifully arranged by Asif, the restaurant supervisor, who went above and beyond with decorations and cake. In Coorg, we stayed at Porcupine Castle Resort, where our daughters had a fantastic time enjoying the serene surroundings. Our cab driver Punit, though new to the area, was incredibly polite, patient, and ensured we covered the best spots with his excellent driving skills. Due to Bangalore traffic, we had a long 6-hour journey, but made the most of it by visiting Mysore Palace on the first day. Overall, it was a memorable and well-organized trip filled with joy, comfort, and beautiful moments.
