Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Jaipur
  • Arrive in Jaipur and transfer to your hotel.
  • Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is popularly known as the "Pink City" due to the pink sandstone used to construct the buildings in the old walled city.
  • After lunch, visit the city of Jaipur.
  • Highlights of the tour include:
    • The City Palace, an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens, courtyards, decorative art, and carved doorways.
    • The adjacent Jantar Mantar, or Astronomical Observatory, built by the Maharaja of Jaipur in 1726. It is one of five such astronomical wonders created by Sawai Jai Singh and continues to make accurate predictions to this day.
  • Jaipur is a shopper?s paradise, with most bazaars located in the old city offering a wide range of items to buy.
  • The evening is free for personal exploration or shopping in the colorful and bustling bazaars.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • After breakfast, proceed for a full-day city tour of Jaipur, visiting Amer Fort, located 11 km from Jaipur. This was the old fort of the Kachhwaha clan of Amber. An elephant (subject to availability, alternatively by jeep) will spare you the trouble of climbing up to the fortress. Once on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls with a well-informed and articulate guide who will regale you with tales of yore.
  • Continue past Jal Mahal for a photo stop and drive to Ram Niwas Gardens and the architecturally impressive Albert Hall. Ram Niwas Bagh and Albert Hall Central Museum, built by Sawai Ram Singh II in 1868 A.D., is a lush sprawling garden that includes a zoo, an aviary, a greenhouse, an herbarium, a museum, and a sports ground within the premises. Later, pass through Moti Doongri Palace, a privately owned hilltop fort built like a Scottish castle, and Birla Temple.
  • In the evening, drive to Chokhi Dhani village. The rest of the day is free to explore the colorful town independently. Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • Morning drive to Bikaner, en route visit to Mandawa Village, a drive of 180 km to Mandawa, often referred to as Rajasthan?s open art gallery.
  • Mandawa is a sleepy, typical Rajasthani town deeply rooted in culture.
  • Enjoy a walking tour of Mandawa, which includes the medieval fort that gradually rises on the horizon like a mirage.
  • A painted arched gateway adorned with Lord Krishna and his cows leads to the bazaar.
  • After lunch, explore the surroundings of Mandawa and later leave for Bikaner (190 km), which was once a major trading post between Africa, West Asia, and the Far East.
  • The city is renowned for having the best riding camels in the world.
  • This afternoon, during your tour, you will visit Camel Breeding Farms and Junagarh Fort, a formidable structure encircled by a moat with beautiful palaces within.
  • 30 km south of Bikaner is the village of Deshnoke, where the famous Mata Karni Temple is situated.
  • The 600-year-old temple is dedicated to Karni Mata, an incarnation of Goddess Durga.
  • The temple hosts thousands of rats, which are considered sacred and worshipped accordingly.
  • Be very careful while entering the inner sanctum, as it is believed that if you accidentally step on a rat, a gold replica must be made to compensate for the lost life.
  • Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, drive 330 km to Jaisalmer, a fairy-tale town in the Thar Desert founded about 800 years ago by Rajah Jaisal. Unlike any other city, this desert fortress is one of Rajasthan's most exotic and unusual towns.
  • Before arriving in Jaisalmer, 15 km before the city, you will visit the War Museum. The Jaisalmer War Museum has been established in the military station of Jaisalmer to showcase the traditional bravery of the Indian Army and to commemorate the sacrifices of its heroes, displaying valor and courage of exceptional order during India's wars. The war museum is located 10 km short of Jaisalmer on the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur highway.
  • Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Enjoy a late lunch and then visit Gadsisar Lake, a beautiful rainwater lake with numerous shrines around it. The scenic arched gateway leads down to the tank. Bada Bagh, the cenotaphs of the Jaisalmer Rawals, features magnificent chhatris (canopies) set amidst an oasis of greenery, making it a great place for a stopover and photography. Another beautiful site is the Gadi Sagar Tank, the main source of the city's water supply.
  • The evening is free for you to explore the colorful and bustling bazaars for personal exploration or shopping. Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • After breakfast, leave for the city tour of Jaisalmer.
  • Visit the famous Havelis (mansions) known for their frescoes.
  • The most elaborate and magnificent of all the Jaisalmer havelis is the Patwaon Ki Haveli, built by five Jain brothers between 1800 and 1860.
  • Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli are the other two havelis that are open to visitors.
  • Built in 1156 by the Bhatti ruler, Jaisal, the fort here stands atop the 80 m high Trikuta hill.
  • In the evening, proceed for the excursion to Sam Sand Dunes.
  • Located 42 km from Jaisalmer, Sam Sand Dunes is the closest point to witness the vast sandy desert.
  • You can see the patterns and motifs created by the shifting sands and air.
  • Moreover, Sam Sand Dunes provide an unforgettable experience of camel rides and sunset views.
  • Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, we will drive to Jodhpur, an oasis in the arid Thar Desert and the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan.
  • Jodhpur is known for its vibrant shades of blue and has a rich history that appeals to discerning tourists.
  • The city offers an abundance of forts, palaces, temples, havelis, culture, tradition, spices, fabrics, color, and texture.
  • Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax for some time.
  • In the afternoon, visit Mehrangarh Fort, considered one of India's best forts, which sits on a steep hill and offers a stunning view of the surroundings.
  • The fort features intricate latticed windows, elaborately carved panels, and elegantly curved porches that reflect beauty and taste.
  • No matter where you are in the fort, its ambiance will leave you in awe and your senses reeling.
  • Also visit Jaswant Thada, a white marble memorial built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant II in 1899, where it is said he succumbed to injuries while fighting the Mughal king Jehangir.
  • Explore Sardar Bazaar and Clock Tower markets, where you can find vegetable, spice, Indian sweets, textile, and silver markets.
  • The evening is free for personal exploration or shopping in the colorful and bustling bazaars.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • This morning, we will drive through valleys in the remote and peaceful Aravalli Range to Ranakpur to visit one of the most important Jain temples in India. This marble complex is noted for its 29 halls supported by 1,444 pillars, each adorned with hundreds of carved figures, no two alike.
  • We will continue driving south, arriving in Udaipur, described as the ?City of Sunrise,? in the evening.
  • Upon arrival in Udaipur, transfer to your hotel. Set on the shores of Lake Pichola and surrounded by hills, Udaipur grew in complete contrast to the harsh deserts of the rest of Rajasthan. As the capital of the old Mewar State, it was the only Rajput stronghold to uphold its Hindu allegiance in the face of Muslim invasion. The city is dominated by the massive City Palace, which overlooks Lake Pichola with its romantic island palaces.
  • Later in the evening, take a boat ride (on a direct payment basis) on the 4 km long and 3 km wide Lake Pichola, which is fringed with hills, palaces, havelis, ghats, embankments, and temples, offering spectacular views.
  • The evening is free for personal exploration or shopping in the colorful and bustling bazaars. Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • After breakfast, proceed for a full-day city tour of Udaipur, visiting the City Palace and Museum.
  • The most impressive attraction in Udaipur is the magnificent City Palace, which is now a museum and houses fine artworks in glass mosaics and miniature paintings, for which Udaipur is famous, depicting the glories of an ancient past.
  • Crystal Gallery: Situated at the Fateh Prakash Palace, the Crystal Gallery houses an extravagant collection of crystals. This unused collection includes crystal chairs, sofas, tables, and even beds. Other precious items include crystal dressing tables, chairs, crockery, table fountains, and regal beds.
  • Jagdish Temple: The Jagdish Temple is a significant focal point for the Hindu community of Udaipur. The temple is dedicated to Vishnu and enshrines a black stone image of Lord Vishnu, considered 'The Creator' in Hindu mythology.
  • Sahelion Ki Bari: Also known as 'Courtyard of the Maidens,' Sahelion Ki Bari is a popular tourist attraction in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
  • The evening is free for personal exploration or shopping in the colorful and bustling bazaars.
  • Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
  • Depart for Udaipur Airport/Railway Station.
  • Return with unlimited memories.
  • Tour ends.

Trip to Neil Island, Port Blair

The team was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip. They suggested the best ways to explore, such as using a cab or a scooty, and were always available whenever we needed any assistance.
The accommodation could have been better, as the rooms I booked even in 4–5 star hotels did not have a proper view and the service was quite slow. This may have been due to the peak season, so I can’t be completely sure. The Green Ocean cruise experience was enjoyable overall, but the economy class seats were very close to the engine, causing constant noise. Also, in case of rain, access to the (Read More) upper deck was restricted, which limited the experience. The seating arrangement could definitely be improved.
